  1. those East nom's say more about how bad that division is than anything, honestly.......
  2. I didn't even look at the east, but the West just smacks of name recognition votes. I mean, both Bighill and Rose, for us.......love those guys.......not sure they were all stars this year.
  3. Schoen "Top Performer" for October - 5 TDs in 3 games..... That'll do it, alright.
  4. interesting tidbit from Arash on CKRM:
  5. nah man...it's not coaching that made that OL bad. It's the talent, or lack thereof. O'Day built an AWFUL team and Dickie completely lost control of the room. They're the ones who need to go, and maybe even the President for putting JOD in charge....
  6. I did NOT draft well.... Helle, Ehlers, Wheeler, Pionk, PLD, and Morrissey.....
  7. man that just looks so good on them.... the Riders imploding as an organization is second only to the Bombers being the league's model franchise....
  8. there was a tweet yesterday with a comment from Burke in Ottawa saying that he'd been in discussions with Mauldin's agent and that they felt they had a really good chance to get him back next year, but that he (Mauldin) wanted to hear their vision for the future and know that they were committed to winning...
  9. absolutely possible. I mean, even if we believed that O'Day was going to do everything right (no precedent for that) you can't make that team serviceable in one off-season. That OL needs to be completely overhauled, they need a QB that doesn't suck (and neither Faj nor perma-buggered-shoulder BLM is the answer) and they need to dump poor-attitude garbage in favour of good people who can also play football. They're not AS far off on D, but that O.......pewwwww.
  10. Can't wait to see the continuation of the dumpster fire next year...
  11. it's my fault for taking him in my fantasy draft......sigh.
  12. Gittens being underrated by many, and the fact that he played a full season should give him the win, IMO. But, also, **** Rourke, if for no other reason than the media slobbering all over him.
  13. I have a much better handle on things now. Therapy and meds since 2018 have (I think) made me a much better human being than I'd been since birth.
  14. post '01 GC loss, I went nuts. I was living in a small apartment on Queens Crescent in Brandon at the time, with my girlfriend and a buddy of ours. A whole bunch of **** got wrecked because i was just on another planet, mentally, after that game.
  15. I have a great shrink and a wonderful cocktail of meds that keep me even....thank goodness for it.
  16. 1) Marcus Brady was a truly awful back-up QB in the CFL...... I have no idea what kind of coach he'd be. 2) Comparing Rourke and his bum foot to Streveler and his injury in 2019 is laughable. Rourke is a good QB, make no mistake, but Chris Streveler is a Manimal. He's not fully human. I personally don't believe Rourke has the internal (or external, for that matter) strength to do what Strevy did in '19.
  17. I am clinically anxious. I suffer from a (literal) insane amount of anxiety. So I will never ever be truly comfortable no matter how much better the Bombers might be than a given team. I can always see the 10 scenarios where we might lose, before I see the 100 scenarios leading to a win. It's just the worst, but all of this is to say that I understand you!
  18. have this vague recollection of being out camping at Big Whiteshell and listening to the game where he was in hospital awaiting that last-minute heart for transplant. I seem to remember Dunigan talking and being super emotional about how they wanted to get the win for him and how much Cal meant to the team. Kindly Cal (ironically)...... absolutely the most important Coach/Manager in Bombers history with Bud Grant (it's a virtual tie, IMO). So thankful to have had him.
  19. **** the Stamps and anyone who cheers for them.
