  1. WHAT MORE DOES THIS MAN HAVE TO DO TO GET AN AUTOMATIC INDUCTION INTO THE HOF?????!!!!!!!!
  2. Really really excited for Christian to show his PBP skills. He's a hard worker and has earned a shot.....
  3. if you have Spotify (that's where I listen, and where they're "based out of"), just type in The Ringer, and stuff comes up. The best one they do is The Rewatchables (which is a group of knowledgeable people discussing movies that they love to rewatch over and over again) so if you go on Spotify and type in "The Rewatchables", it'll come up. I'm sure you can google "The Ringer Podcast Network" and a web version will show up.
  4. I'm still not convinced Hodge isn't just Mike using an alias and pulling a troll job on everyone.....
  5. The Ringer Podcast Network.......it's my go to. Founded by Bill Simmons ("The Boston Sports Guy", formerly of ESPN, HBO and Grantland), it has some of the best talk on just about any subject you can think of. In particular, check out "The Rewatchables", "The Big Picture", "The Watch", and "The Prestige TV Podcast"........
  6. this line-up I assume is just for a quarter, then there's gonna be all sorts of mixing and matching out there, but I'm intrigues. That Biggie to WIL thing is really really interesting to me. Ford at Corner is just to get him some reps and see what the kid can do...got no problem with that.
  7. appreciate all the input. This guy seems about as good as could be expected. Has experience on council and in other endeavours in life (I like that he's a curler) and isn't a whack-a-doodle. I'm a fan and look forward to seeing what he does during his time.
  8. Out of all this the thing that concerns me most is "pentacostal minister"....
  9. Glad to see this...
  10. Call it a win!
  11. So I'm an outsider who knows nothing about Gillingham.... Anyone wanna give me the Coles Notes on this guy? Seems like a big finance guy.... Where does he fall in terms of the antivaxxer/freedoms crowd?
  12. I've covered every election for my media outlet for the last 15 years. #1 rule: It's more important to be right than it is to be first.
  13. if some of our losses had gone the other way, we'd be undefeated forever....
  14. This says more about the rest of the league than anything. It's still Winnipeg and then a big dropoff to Calgary/BC...
  15. Couldn't agree more with that!!
  16. interesting stuff from the #1 BC Lions fan:
  17. False:
  18. I don't want to step on Booch's toes here, 'cause he knows more than anyone on this board, but I think the short answer is: BC just isn't a very good team overall. They have a couple of pieces (Rourke, in particular) which allowed them to over-achieve at times, but that's not sustainable. Just a couple of examples, but Calgary and Winnipeg are better overall teams (deeper, more pieces) and will always be able to manufacture a win in multiple ways (as you saw the Bombers do ad nauseum this year) but BC had to pray Rourke would pull some magic out of a hat to get their wins, otherwise they were at best a mid-pack team all year. Forgive me, Booch, but I *think* that's what was meant...
  19. Kinda thought he might get the nod, as well. Just enough "oops" moments to go with Grant (who I have no problem with getting the nomination). Leggs had a great bounce back season and I'm looking forward to the next 10-20 years of his career!
  20. I don't have the stats in front of me, but didn't Whyte have a pretty good year for them? In theory could have been MOC...
  21. I can't remember if I've ever posted about this, so forgive me if I have, but one of my all time favourite movie moments is in the first Tom Holland Spiderman, when Tony Stark is going to have a press conference and announce him as the newest Avenger, and he says something along the lines of "behind that door is 100 media members......real ones, not bloggers....." and it makes me laugh and slow clap every single time I see it.
