  1. Growing up in Eastman, KP was our place to shop growing up, and that was the theatre I saw most movies in until I graduated high school. So many great memories there.
  2. `100% this. Listen, there was a (hopefully) once in a lifetime pandemic, where they had to make quick decisions..mistakes were bound to be made. But I honestly believe they had the right idea and attempted to do the right thing. I'd rather see too much money go out by accident rather than not enough and people who need it NOT get the money.
  3. Love seeing the Lions get weaker, but definitely had a lot of respect for BB16 throughout his career. Would have loved him as a Bomber.
  4. Bryant will retire a Bomber, I'd bet. He hasn't even really shown injury issues (knock on wood) to this point. Can't imagine him not re-signing. Re: Kicking...... Chris O'Leary (I think it was...) had a piece on CFL.ca about potential FA pairings that make sense, and he matched up the Bombers with Sean Whyte. I'm not sure that's something the Bombers would pursue, but it's interesting anyhow. Thing is, if Liegghio is your guy and you ever want him to grow into the role of The Guy, the only way he gets there is by playing. You can't keep bringing in other guys and expect Liegghio to get better just by watching.
  5. I agree with this part, anyhow. There's just not a lot of placekickers around. You could bring in a rando Euro/Aussie punter for sure. I still have faith though, and think Liegghio can take the next step in '23...
  6. Always...that's the point. He was a really good placement punter this year.
  7. Jeeze, when it's all laid out like that. Man oh man. The two biggest things that always stick with me from his reign were 1) the silencing of scientists. Federal scientists being forbidden to talk about pretty much anything. And 2) Wanting to shut down the Experimental Lakes Area by Kenora to save a measly 2 million bucks, despite the great work they were doing. The guy was just such an unlikelable *******.
  8. Okay, but still..... Who is out there that you'd wanna bring in to kick if you're gonna have Liegghio just do punts or just do punts and KOs...? Who's out there that's better?
  9. I still think it makes sense to let him keep growing, but mostly because who else are you going to get that's close to automatic? If there were a lot of guys out there that fit the bill, every team would have one. So because of that, and the fact that you have one of the best CIS kickers of all time in house, it just makes more sense to let the kid keep progressing. If he can take another leap forward next year as he did this past year then we're in good shape...
  10. This is really true. There was talk not long ago about naming the Calgary airport after him. He is worshipped here.
  11. On paper, things really looking up for the RBs. If they have a good FA and draft, things could turn around. Gonna be tough for anyone to pry Mauldin out of there now, I'd reckon...
  12. What in the actual **** is going on.....
  13. Absolutely hilarious day watching the goings on in The Gap.... I can't wait to see what kind of mess they'll be next year. Heading the right way for an O-Fer season, and I love it...
  14. Looks like it's all but official....
  15. this series of tweets has made my afternoon.... bless you all.
  16. within minutes had the game and pre-game recordings deleted from my PVR. Burn the tape, never look back.
  17. This is purely anecdotal, but I feel like the AB Party is siphoning more votes than the provincial Libs..... most people don't even know we have a provincial Lib party out here. But the point remains that it's the NDP vs the UCP, period.
  18. 2..... and it really sucks.
  19. You figured they would snap their fingers and it would immediately be created? These plans take time. Everyone wants these things, including the politicians, but it takes time. Baby steps.
  20. Congrats to Coach Dyce, a true Manitoba product. Came up in the Winnipeg minor football system, to the Bisons, then Bombers and now this. Fantastic news. HIs son coaches in BC right now, but I'd be curious to see if he moves east to coach with the old man... this makes me giggle a bit because Ballsy was so convinced that he was coming and bringing BLM with him....
  21. I do like the idea of the Grits and Dippers working together to prevent the Tories (now run by their crazy fringe) from having any real power, but as Dave had mentioned, I'm not a fan of less choices to vote for (merging the NDP/LPC). I'd hate to become like the States where everyone is so polarized as one or the other that it becomes part of your DNA and you can never vote for anyone other than a certain party. Right now, the way things are with the NDP propping up the LPC in exchange for some progressive changes.... I'm a fan of that. Also, whatever it takes from letting PP be in charge. We're seeing in AB what that would be like....and I want no part of it.
  22. We can talk all day about how bad the premiers are, or ruling parties, but enough people voted for them.... So what does it say about us as a population?
  23. I think Rose gets a shot in camp, if he doesn't ask too much $$ but he's getting up there and could absolutely see him losing his gig.
  24. So far the thing I like best is that it's not a procedural Case Of The Week style.... It's one over arching storyline for the whole season.
