This is what we're doing. I just couldn't bring myself to willingly spend a weekend in Regina. We made the WF our big weekend and we'll have a bash at the house this weekend instead. Our house is mostly okay with the half time show tho... Ha ha. Petty would be solid too tho!!

I think you're all missing the point..... I'm not shitting on Candians who played in the States. The point is that we had Rourke shoved down our throats as "Kid Canada" all season for all these things he supposedly did as a Canadian QB. The way TSN spun it (ad nauseum) was as if he was a Canadian who'd come through the Canadian HS and CIS ranks and into the CFL. All the other players that have been mentioned recently in this thread weren't jammed down our throats as incredible Canadians doing something that nobody'd ever done before. That's really where my issue comes in. If Rourke had played entirely 3 down football his whole life and was still doing the things he did, and TSN wanted to freak out about it, I would have no problem.

I don't know that someone that crazy can be rattled. But I also don't think he's very bright and can't read a defense to save his life....so I expect Richie Hall to know exactly how to force him into multiple bad decisions.

Nobody ever denied that you shouldn't take the NCAA route. The only thing that's been said is, if everyone's going to go crazy about "First Canadian QB To __________" and wet their pants about it, it should at least be about a QB that's played his entire "career" north of the border. Only played 3 down football his entire life. Otherwise, you're just another generic American recruit.

as far as I'm concerned, Rourke is just another American QB that came up in the American system. Absolutely couldn't care less about him. Talk about Tre Ford, if you want to talk about Canadian QBs...

not a direct comparison at all.......just "former player cast aside is now angry".....nothing more than that. And I absolutely LOVED Harris while he was here, but most important player in our history is not an easy case to make.

This is exactly what I saw and why I think all the "he's totally fine" talk is secrecy bs. He tried to go back out and was in really rough shape. As was mentioned tho, he came out for the trophy presentation and the post game presser and didn't seem impaired in any way..... Sooooooooo... Did they shoot him up in there somewhere, or was it adrenaline or what? It's curious because he tried to go back in the game and could barely stand on that ankle.

In terms of how many more I want to see... Well, it's all of them. Forever. But in realistic terms, I want to be the organization with the most GCs. I want to pass TOs bullshit number.

One other note from yesterday... Prior to the EF, they showed footage from IGF of staff getting ready for the game, and there's Wade Miller, in full winter wear, pushing a cart full of road salt and other supplies needed to get the stadium ready. How many CEOs would be doing that on game day?? I honestly can't think of a single other one in the CFL. It's really crazy. IIRC, last year before the WF, they showed him out shovelling off the seats in the stadium with all the other workers. Hats off to Wade for being such a huge part of this team's success....

Bull ****. They've trotted this out for years and years and have gifted them Grey Cup after Grey Cup (the Doug Flutie dynasty, the league-driven Ricky Ray trade, and on and on) and it made zero difference. Outside of a small group of Blutos, nobody cares about the CFL and winning a GC isn't going to make a bit of difference. I'm sick of that line of thinking. We need to keep on winning cups and catch up to their truly bullshit GC total (for YEARS in the early days of the Grey Cup they were gifted a spot in the final. Teams basically had to playoff for the right to play the Argos. Their cup total is fraudulent) In short, **** that organization almost as much as the Riders.
