  1. For me, it's a VERY small ask to maintain protections (mitigation measures) to protect the most vulnerable among us who might actually die. Wearing a mask is the most innocuous, basic thing I could so to protect someone who's immunocompromised and could die, even after being vaccinated. I'm perfectly fine with any and all measures they want to implement. Vaxx passports shouldn't have been abandoned... They should have been made stricter.
  2. I should have phrased it better...."the governments will force people to just live with it.....or die"
  3. You're right that the cases will spike again, you're wrong that anything will be "comprimised". The governments are done shutting anything down. Numbers will go up and down and people will just live with it.
  4. Randy Ambrosie on a bit of a tour (hopefully SF27 is in attendance..lulz) and in YYC today, there's some interesting chatter:
  5. not sure anything. She'd said in her retirement post that she's looking forward to spending more time at the rink cheering him on. Said she might play some mixed doubles with him, but that he'd really have to convince her, as she's just not that interested in playing right now.
  6. Mike is just kind of unbalanced. That's what I've learned. Reid is the calmer head that should be calling the game and throwing last rock, but I'm not sure Mike is capable of being in a subservient role. The sooner this team implodes, the better. It was never meant to be. Our best men's curler right now is Matt Dunstone, who is living in the BC interior now and skipping a bunch of knuckle dragging cousin fuckers from one province over. Colton Lott and Kyle Doering are really good, as well, and will be taking the leap soon, just not sure it'll be in Manitoba, unfortunately. Cathy and Ron Gauthier's son Jacques is going to be a really good one, as well. Fresh out of winning Manitoba juniors and will be a regular on tour very soon, I suspect. The issue is how many stay in MB to play full time, and how many leave to skip teams out of province. Make no mistake, Manitoba still produces the best curlers in the world as we always have.....it's just that Oly and WCT money move them elsewhere.
  7. I completely understand what you're saying, and you're right....the RRHOF embarrassed itself years ago by inducting artists that have nothing to do with Rock and Roll. Hip Hop and Disco acts...honestly the ANTITHESIS of Rock......are in the Hall. It's a joke. So THANKFULLY Dolly has some integrity and said "Nope....I'm not Rock" and is staying out, because the Hall is too stupid to understand this themselves.
  8. I don't know what any of that has to do with Rock....
  9. If I may.......*ahem* "BUT WHY ISN'T KYLE WALTERS BRINGING IN RECEIVERS? JOHN HUFNAGEL IS ALWAYS BRINGING IN RECEIVERS! CALGARY IS GREAT! WE ARE NOT!!"
  10. Jack White did some amazing work with miss Loretta....I'd let him (or how about someone like Grohl???) take a stab at a Dolly rock album. Nobody tells the queen what she can or can't do...
  11. Country, Bluegrass, Gospel.....not at any point, anything resembling Rock. Wish more artists had that level of integrity.
  12. He was highly recommended by Medlock, so that's gotta mean something...
  13. No. With directional sweeping, they only use one sweeper per stone now anyhow. Curling with 3 doesn't really change much. **** Douchue. Fluked out a win over Mike in the 01 Can Jr's and (only with Russ Howard holding his hand the entire way) they barely fluked a win over Stoughton, on a measure, in the 05 oly trials. Will never ever forgive that kid. Also, Edin and Mouat are gonna murder these clowns at worlds. They'll be lucky to medal. Not even convinced they'll make playoffs.
  14. I'm not pointing fingers, but man it has gotta be exhausting being sour/angry/negative all the time about seemingly everything. I have faith in this regime because they haven't steered me wrong yet. I have faith in a raw kid who kicked 92% in CIS. I have faith in an American guy whose only real issue (apparently) was the angles of a much larger field. We have a whole camp to get it figured out and if they don't have someone they like, there are dozens and dozens of kickers out there that can be brought in.
  15. Jesus Christ with the hand wringing in March.....
  16. I'm definitely willing to give Mourtada and Legghio another shot. The L'ks clearly spent way more than we could offer, and that's fine. They'll need the kicking points more than we will....
  17. Best to ever do it at that position, men's or women's...

  19. Pinawa guy here...raised with the idea that nuclear is great. There's issues with the disposal of waste, but for the most part it's a really safe alternative. It's unfortunate that Atomic Energy Canada mostly pulled out of Manitoba in the late 90s, but "SMR's" (Small Modular Reactors) are becoming a thing now, and Pinawa has been courting a company pretty heavily over the last several years to hopefully come there and set up shop.
  20. Is that actually a thing, or is that a Sun Media line that's been trotted out until people started believing it as fact...
  21. Chrystia leading the Grits and Charest (I think...I need more time to read up on his platform) leading the Tories would have me feeling a lot better about Canada as a whole.
  22. ehhhh... I'm not so against Trudeau. I don't necessarily think he's the smartest guy in any room he's in, but I definitely don't have the strong dislike that so many others do. I was raised that his dad is the greatest PM in Canadian history, so I went into his "reign" with a positive mindset. I think he's a good guy that wants to do the right thing, but isn't necessarily smart enough....but that's just my take.
  23. This pandemic has never been about us as individuals but about society as a collective. It'll never cease to amaze me how many selfish assholes are out there thinking this is about them. This is about everyone else around us, and has been since the beginning. Nothing is over until the virus says it's over.
