  1. No the whole team had a letdown for sure, but goals 1 and 3 were truly awful and just can not go in. It's not the same guy we've been used to watching the last 5 years or so....
  2. Helle has been awful tonight and more often than normal this season. 2 of the 3 goals were what you'd see in minor hockey and not outside of that...
  3. Wiecek's point isn't that this Jets organization is full of bad people. He's saying that, over the last 30 years, there's been a lot of assholes within a Jets locker room. Bobby Hull is just for starters....then Tkachuk....who knows how many others that AREN'T famously bad?
  4. but he's also right in this case....
  5. really?? He's been a very public Putin backer for years....
  6. absolutely 100% done with Stastny....goodbye, good riddance.....
  7. Say what you want about Harper (and trust me...I will....) but he kept the truly crazy among them at bay. There was a significant faction that were anti-abortion and wanted to re-open that debate, and he kept the door shut on that. He knew that in order to be electable, they needed to quiet the crazies. They seem to have forgotten that, with him gone.
  8. I've followed Manitoba's coverage of COVID data throughout the pandemic very closely, and compared it to AB's, and it's night and day. I know you guys have had ups and downs, but let me tell you, I absolutely LOVE Roussin, Reimer (and even Pallister) compared to our Hinshaw (CMOH), Shandro/Copping (Health Min's) and Kenney. I'd trade ya's any day.....
  9. we will absolutely be taking an OL with our first pick....I have zero doubts about this. Especially with Desjarlais gone and Dobson likely down south as well. Walters has taken an OL first in every single draft, right? Why would he change that now when we actually do need to stock the cupboards....?
  10. Have plans to do some chores in the yard when not working. Fresh air ALWAYS helps!
  11. That's what I've heard and I'm hoping it's true. So far so good, but knock on wood...
  12. Well, add me to the list. I'm the second most COVID-safe person I know....never go anywhere other than the office and once a week to the grocery store.... Aaaand I tested positive yesterday afternoon (and again this morning). So far just a mild cold. Had a slight tickle cough yesterday... Today is a little more sinus-headache-y and less cough. Hopefully back to 100% by the end of the week. Thankfully able to work from home this week...
  13. well, just for clarity......Pascucci is retired, so he is not technically in the media anymore and isn't beholden to anyone. He's a little freer to say what he wants. The actual beat writers are a different story....
  14. and it gets worse...Shandro is now on his 3rd portfolio after being investigated in two others. Currently being investigated by the bar association for improper conduct.... that party is a sewage pile.
  15. None of it concerns me in the least. There's tons of football players out there looking for work. Are we going to see a diluting of the US talent? Maybe a little....enough to make people watch CFL less? Nah. As I've said a million times, it could be All Canadian teams, with Wpg/SK/Edm/Cgy playing each other all season, and I'd be more than happy. The CFL will be fine....
  16. I'm ready for May weather and the thought of upcoming football:
  17. Yeah, my thought process is "what if they come back again?" But hopefully that's not an issue. The online yapping cons seem to think the Senate was going to vote this down, so he just got out in front of it to try and save face. Really hoping that's not the case.
  18. Soooooo.....Trudeau is revoking the Emergencies Act now? Did we not just pass this a couple of days ago? I don't understand what's going on....
  19. anyone else wanna post it?
  20. so apparently Dobson got drafted in that USFL thing last night.....not sure how this will impact his wanting to come here if the NFL doesn't pan out, but....taken with a huge grain of salt, Hodge.......
  21. That whole thing.....gone. The generation that required it is literally dying off, unfortunately. The Irvings, Wittmans, Rauters of the world who brought that kind of broadcasting....are the last of their kind. The new gen is a whole other type of broadcasting. I'm not going to weigh in on what's good or bad, but the audience is changing and what they desire is changing, so you have to change with them.
