Ray was never a "physical tools" guy, though. He's a guy who out-thought everyone else. He became the 3rd greatest QB in CFL history because he was smarter than everyone else. It's not that he was Russ Michna or anything, but he was not a physical tools guy.

what I remember most about that play is how upset Suitor was about the Bombers not getting an ejection on that play and even saying "Now I know everyone's going to say I'm rooting for the Riders here, but......" and I'm like "uh huh......"

the penalty against Winnipeg..... was that when we had a scrap in the endzone after a Wpg TD......Harris ripped a guy's helmet off, but didn't get tossed. 2 Riders got ejected, but no Bombers, following a scrum.......that game?

Intelligence is the #1 thing I want out of any QB. Physical tools are whatever...if you can't figure out how to read a defense, you're useless to me.

I mean, I get what Al is saying, but a lot of those people are outdoors, where things are much safer. Would I want to spend time in Nashville North tent or the trade show exhibition halls? Not likely. But just wandering around the outdoor portion of Stampede......it's not as bad as all that. Having said that, don't get me wrong....... even pre-pandemic, I don't like being among that many people. My wife is going with her mother on Friday, but I don't think I'll be going at any point.
