  1. we've really derailed this read, but I just wanna say (as someone who has a strong distaste for Manitoba's Bible Belt) that they actually will tolerate non-white people as long as they're devout Christian. They've brought in many Mexican-Mennonite people over the years, and those folks are a big part of the population boom down there.
  2. that's what *I* said in my buddies group chat.....I was on a roll finding good stuff on Twitter today and didn't do my usual due diligence. Sigh.
  3. oh **** - is it?? I swear I only follow reputable sources on Twitter....damn it.
  4. Not sure if Oly team or NHL Alumni Old Timers charity game roster.....
  5. My wife is beside herself over this news....
  6. I know several people who suffer from MS, including my mother in law.....this is more great news, re: mRNA vaccines:
  7. I can only imagine the chatter this is going to generate...... ...and just to blow up that image a bit so it's easier to read:
  8. K-Conn apparently going to be named to the All Star Game this afternoon....
  9. MB provincial election is this fall right? Man I never thought much of Kinew but he's a FAR better option at this point...
  10. "...I’m pissed that Winnipeg was able to keep their front office together. They would have had a tougher time retaining players if (assistant general managers) Ted (Goveia) and Danny (McManus) had been hired elsewhere. I hope (Canadian offensive lineman) Drew Desjarlais signs in the NFL. That’ll hurt them..."
  11. Sincere question (I'm a MASSIVE Buck fan going back to BC): Is Buck a better a OC than Tommy Condell? In terms of developing Dane? I'm not sure about that statement...
  12. Collaros making 410 this past year, we got a lot of value for that. I wouldn't balk at something between 450-500. That's a significant raise for him and feels like fair value. I'm not sure what his agent would say, but I really believe you have to take the Faj contract out of the equation, because everyone knows it's completely ridiculous.
  13. Best of luck to King Kongbo! Had an unfortunate injury in his last NFL camp, IIRC. Hoping he can stay healthy and get that big $$$ cheque! right on cue:
  14. don't forget an "INT" that skipped off the turf....
  15. Don't start on the '07 thing......that's indisputable.
  16. I've been hearing about that late rouge from all non-Bombers fans since the game. "It's the only reason you won!" is a common refrain. I've called bullshit on that right from the get go. So many things would have been different if he'd brought it out....impossible to say they would have got to FG range and made it.
  17. Felt so much like Steffanson took a page out of Kenney's playbook. The world burning and it's "you just have to learn to live with it" and "financial health is as important as physical and mental health". Absolutely sickening (ironically).
  18. happy for Kongbo and any others that get their chance to make some big NFL bucks. Re: Kolankowski, I'd love to hear from the OL coach as to how they view his progression so far, and how they see him going into camp this year. The obvious answer is that he's the new 6th OL that rotates in more frequently, but I'm curious if he's potentially overtaking Gray for a starting spot. Just out of curiosity.....
  19. I've got pretty strict orders about how much I'm allowed to talk about COVID/Vaccines/etc on air, because it's so polarizing (especially so in rural AB)..... smh.
  20. Stan will be back for sure....Couture and Desjarlais are the question marks. Hopefully it's just Desjarlais to the NFL, and then it's just a matter of shifting one of the guards to LG from RG. Gray and Neuf normally play on the right side, but I'm sure one can move left. We've still got that kid in the states that we drafted last year, and then Walters will draft an OL in the 1st round again this year, so the pipeline will continue a steady flow....
