Random Jets News
Congrats to Dennis on a wonderful career! Really cool that he got to come "home" to finish off his career...that's a neat cherry on the sundae. So many great options out there as a replacement, but I'd be shocked if Edmonds didn't get the call. It's the natural progression. The young kid doing Moose games could get the bump up to Jets radio. Lotta options, though.... so many great hockey PBPs in this country.

Random Jets News
I'm sure every player/family has their reasons, but man, I can't imagine dropping out of school after one year and going pro. Get your education...hockey will be there in a few years....and then you've got something to fall back on. But I suppose if he's good enough, and smart enough, he'll make the money now while he's young and healthy, and if he needed to go back to school, he could always do that, too.....

Interesting.....I'm trying to picture that, but in theory I'm a fan.- 2022 Off Season - Back 2 Back Champs Edition

100% agree with this take.- Three-peat Kickoff Countdown
Need a gif of him tracking down a Rider to save the West Final in '19. Saved the season.- 2021/22 - CFL Offseason - Non-Back-to-Back Grey Cup Champion Thread
Does the C-Train run out there......I can't remember.....?? That would be a bit part of it...- 2021/22 - CFL Offseason - Non-Back-to-Back Grey Cup Champion Thread
Yeah, selling out that venue doesn't impress me that much....... but whatever the CFL can do to spin it into news is a good thing, I suppose.- 2021/22 - CFL Offseason - Non-Back-to-Back Grey Cup Champion Thread
what's the capacity for that? I assume like 10k....maybe less??- 2022 CFL Draft (CIS/NCAA and International)
I forgot this thread existed..... here's the latest CFL.ca Mock from Marshall Ferguson (h/t @JCon for digging it up first) https://www.cfl.ca/2022/04/26/mock-2-0-who-will-be-selected/ As with John Hodge's first mock, Ferg has us taking OL Zack Pelehos at #9.- 2021/22 - CFL Offseason - Non-Back-to-Back Grey Cup Champion Thread
this was who Hodge had us taking in his first mock, and I'm now inclined to believe that's who we'll take. Ferguson had us getting Zerr at 9 (in his first mock), but I just can't imagine a world where the Riders let a USask OL fall to us. I'm betting on Pelehos and think he'll be a good one, based on everything I've read.- 2021/22 - CFL Offseason - Non-Back-to-Back Grey Cup Champion Thread
in Alberta, if you want something built, you need to find a way to do it almost entirely on private funds. The screaming and yelling that goes on if even one red penny of tax dollars gets spent on ANYTHING is almost unbelievable. There's no "Hey, we're allowed to have nice things" around here.- Covid-19
For me, another factor is that I've had Omicron (assumed) plus the 3 vaccine doses I'm eligible for. So I feel as protected as I can possibly be. If I hadn't had COVID yet, I'd probably be wearing a mask more often...- The Weather

I'll go to McMahon for Bombers games, but that's it. I've got friends in town here that have Stamps season tickets and every year are trying to get me to go in on their section. No f***ing way. I am spending way more than those tix would cost to buy a Flex Pack of Bombers tickets and fly to and from the games, and it's still far better money spent.- Elon Musk to buy Twitter
- Elon Musk to buy Twitter
Once Musk has control, Twitter will eventually turn into the thing Trump was trying to create on his own, but of course was unable. I love Twitter...it's my favourite of all social media platforms, and when curated properly, it's a wonderful resource. But I'm very concerned for its future.- Covid-19
My life in Alberta for the past month. I tried...I really did....and there's maybe 5% of the population wearing one, so I just gave it the "why even bother anymore....?"- 2022 Off Season - Back 2 Back Champs Edition
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed defensive tackle Kenneth Randall. The six-foot-two, 302-pound Randall played his NCAA career at the University of Charleston with the Golden Eagles. He earned first-team All-Mountain East Conference honours in 2019 and finished his collegiate career with 64 tackles, seven sacks and two forced fumbles. Randall signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2021 as an undrafted NFL free agent and attended the team’s training camp. The Blue Bombers also signed offensive lineman Leon Johnson. The six-foot-five, 332-pound Johnson spent four years at Temple University with the Owls. He made 10 starts at left tackle during his senior season including the season-opener against Notre Dame in which he served as one of the team captains. Johnson started 14 games at right tackle during his junior year. Prior to signing with Winnipeg, Johnson signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted NFL free agent in 2018 and attended the team’s training camp. He signed with the Salt Lake Stallions of the Alliance of American Football for the 2019 season. Johnson would later go on to sign with the Calgary Stampeders in 2020 and saw action with one start in 2021.- The Weather
I was saying to a few people today, Mother Nature owes you one of those amazing summers where it's hot and sunny for 3 or 4 months and you can spend epic days at the beach/cottage. There is nothing better than a great Manitoba/NW Ont summer....- Around The NHL 2021/22
