I've followed Manitoba's coverage of COVID data throughout the pandemic very closely, and compared it to AB's, and it's night and day. I know you guys have had ups and downs, but let me tell you, I absolutely LOVE Roussin, Reimer (and even Pallister) compared to our Hinshaw (CMOH), Shandro/Copping (Health Min's) and Kenney. I'd trade ya's any day.....

we will absolutely be taking an OL with our first pick....I have zero doubts about this. Especially with Desjarlais gone and Dobson likely down south as well. Walters has taken an OL first in every single draft, right? Why would he change that now when we actually do need to stock the cupboards....?

Have plans to do some chores in the yard when not working. Fresh air ALWAYS helps!

Well, add me to the list. I'm the second most COVID-safe person I know....never go anywhere other than the office and once a week to the grocery store.... Aaaand I tested positive yesterday afternoon (and again this morning). So far just a mild cold. Had a slight tickle cough yesterday... Today is a little more sinus-headache-y and less cough. Hopefully back to 100% by the end of the week. Thankfully able to work from home this week...

well, just for clarity......Pascucci is retired, so he is not technically in the media anymore and isn't beholden to anyone. He's a little freer to say what he wants. The actual beat writers are a different story....

None of it concerns me in the least. There's tons of football players out there looking for work. Are we going to see a diluting of the US talent? Maybe a little....enough to make people watch CFL less? Nah. As I've said a million times, it could be All Canadian teams, with Wpg/SK/Edm/Cgy playing each other all season, and I'd be more than happy. The CFL will be fine....

That whole thing.....gone. The generation that required it is literally dying off, unfortunately. The Irvings, Wittmans, Rauters of the world who brought that kind of broadcasting....are the last of their kind. The new gen is a whole other type of broadcasting. I'm not going to weigh in on what's good or bad, but the audience is changing and what they desire is changing, so you have to change with them.

As I mentioned in the other thread, this is pretty much exactly how I feel. I don't give two shits about all the weird stats, and the whole sports betting thing is Greek to me. I don't understand the language and don't care about it at all. Having said that, I understand it's a new generation and I'm a very old man....so it is what it is. I'm willing to give him a shot, tho I'm not as excited for the first pre-game show of the year as I would be in years past. The current generation of broadcasters don't do things in the same way guys of Bob's vintage did it....that's just a fact of life that I've got to adjust to, I suppose!

My folks lived in Nanaimo for a couple years before moving back to be closer to family. They say they'll go there again before their final years, but we'll see. I didn't mind it...I'd certainly take Nanaimo over AB (pretty much anywhere is preferable to AB these days...), it's an older town with not a lot in the way of fancy new buildings or even homes. Everything feels locked in about 1985. That was my take on it anyhow. I did like the proximity to water...that was my one big takeaway from it. My folks loved going to curling in the winter in just a light jacket....major upgrade from MB. All that said....to me, there is absolutely nowhere on the planet I'd rather be than EastMan or NW Ont. There is nothing more beautiful than the Canadian Shield, 12 months of the year.

Well, they were damn close in 2018....he built a pretty good team that could realistically gone all the way. So it's not like his teams haven't been good. I think the question is "Has he earned the right to re-build once?" I honestly don't know enough to know...

The rebuild (or at least reload) should be fully on with the Jets org right now. Load up on picks and prospects if you can, and prep hard for making the playoffs next year. I dunno if we deal Scheifele, but if they do, hopefully they get a haul for him.
