the issue I have is that people who don't take this seriously enough could end up killing someone. That's not hype, that's the reality of how quickly this thing spreads and could end up transmitting from you to a senior or immuno-comprimised person...

I'm curious what the PA feels about considering this COVID break their "offseason", and then going straight into playoffs, and the start of a new season immediately after that. It's an odd thought, not having a break after playoffs, and before the start of a new season.......but maybe something they'd do....?

Moreso than direct money to me, what I am really hoping is that businesses will be given injections/incentives to stay afloat and keep their staff. I'm not worried about getting sick, I'm worried about losing my job for any length of time. Really praying that my company, and the businesses whose advertising supports it, can survive for 3 months or whatever this is.

I honestly don't care about NBA and what they do, and even NHL I don't care as much as CFL. I just want a 2020 CFL season. My mental health has taken a beating in the last several days, and I don't wanna think about what a lack of CFL football would do to me....

The media is reporting what the government and health officials are saying. That's their job. The media isn't to blame... At least in Canada. That Fox News thing is pretty typical for them. They're a ******* mess, but everyone already knows that.

I've not seen one instance of this in Canada........not calling you a liar at all, but I'd really like to see examples. I've become a bit tired of "the media" taking blame for delivering the bad news. If anything is to blame it's SOCIAL media, which goes largely unregulated and misinformation abounds. Mainstream media at least has rules and, for the most part, evidence-backed information rules the day.

I can't even imagine what they're talking about all day every day....as it is, in a music-based station, I'm finding it tough because virtually every event we cover has been cancelled. I'm spending virtually every break during my 4 hour show talking about cancellations right now. Super weird...

my sister is a single mother of 2 in Lorette...not sure what she's going to do. I think my folks are going to be working overtime for her. Unless they close the provincial borders, I'm still planning on coming home next week, so hopefully I can help out a bit, but we'll see how it goes. Things are changing rapidly...
