  1. for any of you combine/draft nerds...
  2. 6'6" 310 sun-blocker..... https://www.nfl.com/players/larnel-coleman/
  3. Saw the news and was trading messages with them last night...... just ruined my week. Winnipeg doesn't have THAT MANY breweries that you should be seeing a "bubble burst" right now... this is really sad. It was absolutely THE place to be before a Bombers game. Onkel's on the patio at SA on a warm Manitoba summer afternoon pre-Bombers game? Just nothing finer... there are some on here who have made outrageous claims about SA and their production methods (and quality of output) but I've never had a beer there that I didn't enjoy. Paul's sometimes "crusty" exterior was a big part of the charm of the vibe as well... support your locals folks.... you don't know what you've got until it's gone.
  4. most of the shows the wife and I watch are in production or "off season" right now.... but we do watch most of the Law and Order stuff and Mark Critch (This Hour Has 22 Minutes, etc) "Son Of A Critch" is actually really well done. Enjoy that one each week, as well.
  5. From writing to directing to acting, everyone involved is outstanding...
  6. I get how you feel, because that's how I feel in a boat...... but man, I wouldn't get on a motorbike if you paid me....
  7. the Bear, Shrinking, and Only Murders In The Building are the ones that are in production that I'm most excited for...... If they get around to a second season of Poker Face, you can add that to the list as well....
  8. it's definitely not cheap, but generally really enjoyable with the right group of people. I don't enjoy golf with randos. It's best when it's a scramble-type event. My goal in life is to be able to Fish in the early AM, golf during the day when it's too hot for the fish and the bite dies, then fish again in the evening. One day....
  9. regarding "there's no info anywhere about the combine!"........ there's stuff out there if you look. This just popped up in my feed...
  10. I don't hate Commonwealth, as a stadium. Certainly a far cry better than McMahon. The biggest issue with it, again just IMO, is that damn track, which sets the fans even further back from the field. It's also far too big for the CFL. I know they like having it for big events, but it can be cavernous for a CFL game.
  11. yeah I neglected James, much to my chagrin..... (I'm better than that... not by much, but by a little....) and I think you're right that the debate is between those two for the 5th spot.
  12. Reaves comes up often enough.... likely a Top 5 guy. Harris ChuckBob Reaves Lewis Hanson Probably fair right?
  13. I go back and forth on it, but I can't imagine being with someone who doesn't share the same passions. On the other hand, it might be nice to have something that's just yours and gets you away from them for awhile. S'posin' it depends on how much you enjoy being around your significant other...
  14. because it's not much of an event.... there was some talk about it on Twitter from the league and CIS, but there will be a lot more next week at the actual combine in Wpg.
  15. the thing is, it's not just the mocks.... it's anything from 3DN that isn't just breaking news on Twitter. Anything where they actually have to write a column, comes off like a 16 year old in their basement. We have far better writers with more insight into the CFL on this board....
  16. my first set of cards is the 1988 O-P-C MLB set. Some really cool stuff in there. Then got into hockey cards with the same 1991 OPC NHL set that everyone on the planet has. In more recent years I have some CFL cards, but I'm more into collecting jerseys right now. I have so many different Bombers styles from over the years. Our basement is quite the shrine right now and we're always checking eBay for what's out there...
  17. Not sure it's a "hobby" (we take it a lot more seriously than that) but my wife are extremely into fishing 12 months of the year. It's painful living in Alberta at the best of times, but when you factor in our passion for fishing, it's that much worse. Last year (2022/2023) we took our ice fishing to the next level and started ice camping. It's been a lot of fun. I work too much during the winter, and the best fishing spot close to us is about 3 hours away, so we don't get out as often as we'd like, but we have a ton of fun when we do. For the summer, we DID have a little 14' Lund with a 25hp Evinrude (...lesson learned: Friends Don't Let Friends Drive E-Tec's...) but sold it when it was being too much of a hassle. We decided we're going to wait until we move back to MB (likely not too far off) before we buy our next boat... an 18' tiller with a nice big dance floor up front. There's just no sense in AB because you have to haul the damn thing for hours to get anywhere "fishable". In MB you can be on the water in minutes.... some places you can even leave the boat docked up for the summer so you can just jump in and go. That's the dream. Anyhow, yeah.... fishing fishing fishing. Obsession.
