  1. Lately I've been all about collecting old Royal Blue's from the 80s off Ebay. My favourite thing is a Walby 63 in Royal Blue home that I got for about 40 bucks. Great shape...hangs in the living room next to the TV to bring us luck during the games.
  2. No question they want to try and catch us sleeping tonight, but I have faith in MOS teams to come prepared...
  3. I always Lol at people who see a box score like that and go "Well, we gave up 7 goals...goalie sucks".......... As with last year, goaltending wasn't the real issue. Team defense was awful again last night and that is backed up by Maurice's presser today. They couldn't defend and left the goaltender vulnerable all night. Didn't skate well enough, didn't hit....so they got skated hard today. Give 'em all a re-do on Saturday night...same line-up, same tendy......let 'em prove it was an accident.
  4. ****... Good point. Cousin Wooly might get in some cover time after all.....
  5. To summarize: Hamilton should not be taken lightly, but there is also no way we should lose to them....
  6. Calgary sucks and if not for Mike Smith woulda given up 10 goals last night. Hope the Jets ******* PUMP em to get back on track...
  7. My understanding of that situation is that they see one of them as more of a pure run-stopper, so if they feel it's going to be a run-heavy game, they put that guy in....if it's going to be more pass heavy, they put in the other.....but honestly, it's tough to follow. That's just my guess based on listening to the CJOB pre-game shows...
  8. Nealon Greene was at least SOMEWHAT successful.....
  9. he's on the roster.....not sure he's going to actually play.
  10. Tough start but it's a long season. I'm seeing a lot of people jumping off a bridge on my twitter feed tonight. Just as it's not the time to plan a Leafs SC parade, it's not the time for Jets fans to want everyone fired/cut/traded....
  11. And Coates has filled in well for Gudino, so that's no big change...
  12. I don't think we'll do anything for the same reason we didn't push hard for any of the NFL cuts. We're a dance with the on who brung ya team. They like the guys they have and want to roll with that.
  13. https://www.bluebombers.com/2017/10/04/bombers-add-practice-roster/ WINNIPEG, MB., October 4, 2017 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the club has added quarterbacks Josh Straughan and David Washington, defensive backs Jordan Bowman and Antoine Tharpe, linebacker Jevaris Jones, and (national) defensive tackle Ian Marouf. Straughan (6-2, 203, Southern Illinois University, May 2, 1994 in Colton, WA) played one season with the Salukis, starting eight games, after transferring from Division II Stillman College. He threw for 2,429 yards and 15 touchdowns while only throwing four interceptions. Washington (6-3, 210, Old Dominion University, September 15, 1994 in Raleigh, N.C.) played four seasons with the Old Dominion University Monarchs, including starting 16 games at wide receiver. In his senior season, he started all 13 games at quarterback and threw for 2,836 yards, 31 touchdowns and only five interceptions. He was also named a Conference USA Honorable Mention. He made 170 tackles and added 13 interceptions in his collegiate career and was selected to the All-PSAC West Second-Team in his senior season. Tharpe (5-10, 175, University of Massachusetts, July 16, 1992 in Lauderhill, FL) played four seasons with the Minutemen, including 11 games in his senior season where he recorded 49 tackles. For the last three years, Tharpe has played in the Indoor Football League, most recently for the Spokane Empire. Jones (6-1, 228, Shorter University, January 18, 1995 in Griffin, GA) played three seasons with the Hawks. Amongst his 235 career tackles, he made 106 in his final season and finished second in Division II with 80 solo tackles. Jones signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent this May, but was later waived. Marouf (6-3, 210, University of Guelph, March 28, 1992 in Fort Erie, ON) was drafted by the Bombers in the sixth round, 50th overall, in the 2017 CFL Draft. After playing just one season with the University of Guelph Gryphons, Marouf played with the Hamilton Hurricanes in the Canadian Junior Football League during the 2015/2016 season and recorded 25 tackles in seven games. The team has also released international defensive back Zavian Bingham from the practice roster.
  14. I thought I fell through a wormhole to 1996.......Jesus, people......never mind that it's the opening night of the season. As if anything would be blacked out. Christ...
  15. Obviously real as it's coming from beat guy......huuuuuuuuuge steal for the Jets. That's Karl Alzner levels of good deal. Why do you hate money, Nik Ehlers???
  16. have to keep in mind a couple things....... 1) This is the new normal...it's what guys are getting..... and 2) The cap is going to go up, so it's not as big of a cap hit as it once was...
  17. If we win a GC with him, I've said I'll do this....and it's the ONLY time I'll ever condone getting a jersey without a current or former player on it....
  18. I remember Ron Warner being an absolutely HUMONGOUS human being. Not tall like Doug Brown, but just SO bulked up....ridiculous arms.
  19. I was just saying on the weekend that the Riders really blew their load against us in LDC and have looked piss poor ever since. Hope the Argos stomp 'em this weekend...
