  1. I don't think we'll do anything for the same reason we didn't push hard for any of the NFL cuts. We're a dance with the on who brung ya team. They like the guys they have and want to roll with that.
  2. https://www.bluebombers.com/2017/10/04/bombers-add-practice-roster/ WINNIPEG, MB., October 4, 2017 – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the club has added quarterbacks Josh Straughan and David Washington, defensive backs Jordan Bowman and Antoine Tharpe, linebacker Jevaris Jones, and (national) defensive tackle Ian Marouf. Straughan (6-2, 203, Southern Illinois University, May 2, 1994 in Colton, WA) played one season with the Salukis, starting eight games, after transferring from Division II Stillman College. He threw for 2,429 yards and 15 touchdowns while only throwing four interceptions. Washington (6-3, 210, Old Dominion University, September 15, 1994 in Raleigh, N.C.) played four seasons with the Old Dominion University Monarchs, including starting 16 games at wide receiver. In his senior season, he started all 13 games at quarterback and threw for 2,836 yards, 31 touchdowns and only five interceptions. He was also named a Conference USA Honorable Mention. Bowman (6-0, 210, California University of Pennsylvania, October 28, 1994 in Harrisburg, PA) played in all 44 games over four seasons with the Vulcans. He made 170 tackles and added 13 interceptions in his collegiate career and was selected to the All-PSAC West Second-Team in his senior season. Tharpe (5-10, 175, University of Massachusetts, July 16, 1992 in Lauderhill, FL) played four seasons with the Minutemen, including 11 games in his senior season where he recorded 49 tackles. For the last three years, Tharpe has played in the Indoor Football League, most recently for the Spokane Empire. Jones (6-1, 228, Shorter University, January 18, 1995 in Griffin, GA) played three seasons with the Hawks. Amongst his 235 career tackles, he made 106 in his final season and finished second in Division II with 80 solo tackles. Jones signed with the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent this May, but was later waived. Marouf (6-3, 210, University of Guelph, March 28, 1992 in Fort Erie, ON) was drafted by the Bombers in the sixth round, 50th overall, in the 2017 CFL Draft. After playing just one season with the University of Guelph Gryphons, Marouf played with the Hamilton Hurricanes in the Canadian Junior Football League during the 2015/2016 season and recorded 25 tackles in seven games. The team has also released international defensive back Zavian Bingham from the practice roster.
  3. I thought I fell through a wormhole to 1996.......Jesus, people......never mind that it's the opening night of the season. As if anything would be blacked out. Christ...
  4. Obviously real as it's coming from beat guy......huuuuuuuuuge steal for the Jets. That's Karl Alzner levels of good deal. Why do you hate money, Nik Ehlers???
  5. have to keep in mind a couple things....... 1) This is the new normal...it's what guys are getting..... and 2) The cap is going to go up, so it's not as big of a cap hit as it once was...
  6. If we win a GC with him, I've said I'll do this....and it's the ONLY time I'll ever condone getting a jersey without a current or former player on it....
  7. I remember Ron Warner being an absolutely HUMONGOUS human being. Not tall like Doug Brown, but just SO bulked up....ridiculous arms.
  8. I was just saying on the weekend that the Riders really blew their load against us in LDC and have looked piss poor ever since. Hope the Argos stomp 'em this weekend...
  9. on last week's CJOB pre-game show, they talked about how it almost always goes to a QB, and for someone else to beat that out, you have to do something really special, like when Milt broke the record for TDs in a season, with 23, and beat out Khari for the Bombers MOP nom that year. They figured Harris has to get 1k/1k, to have a shot at beating out Nichols for the Bombers MOP nod. I'd say that's about right...
  10. Can I show up in Chat during the Jets game and just talk about Bombers stuff to iHeart??
  11. I believe in the postgame show he said it was to the back, but I can't remember 100%.....either way, he said he was unreal stiff and sore but would be good to go this week (typical response, but here's hoping...)
  12. Darrin Bauming‏ @DarrinBauming 3h3 hours ago Four-year NFL vet receiver Chris Givens is shadowing Ryan Lankford on the #Bombers first-team O. He joined their practice roster recently. Ted Wyman‏ @Ted_Wyman 3h3 hours ago So far, looks like #Bombers dodged injury bullet in win over Edmonton, with Harris, Feoli-Gudino and Leggett all practising. Ted Wyman‏ @Ted_Wyman 3h3 hours ago Though Feoli-Gudino is on field and moving around, he is not available to media, which suggests he is questionable for this week. #Bombers
  13. Medlock is having an awful year, by his standards.....really don't think he'll be nominated out of the West.
  14. Bit of a stretch for Harris to win Coach Of The Year, but he's got a really good shot at MOC.....Most Outstanding Canadian.
  15. "Are you okay?? Hurrrrr....I don't give a f***!!"
  16. Really glad Leggett is okay. Curious about Harris now...reckon he's got a few appointments at Thermea this week...
  17. re: Injuries for this week: Hurl might be dinged up....... Darrin Bauming‏ @DarrinBauming 2m2 minutes ago Sam Hurl isn't doing much at practice today, but Julian-Feoli Gudino is doing plenty. #Bombers *insert "well, he hasn't done anything all year so why start now herp derp" jokes*
  18. Oh I saw Iron Man when it came out.....f***ers had me from Day 1.........but you'll never ever get me to read a comic book.
  19. this is the only reason I keep you nerds around.....to explain this ****.
  20. Holy ****...okay, I think I'm understanding.......the Venom thing with Tom Hardy is a separate thing, within Sony. A Spidey villain stand alone movie with no Spidey...moronic, but **** Sony, so whatever. The Spiderman Homecoming sequel would have to remain in the MCU.......it's the only way. It just makes sense.
  21. I dunno, I think Harris's success is as good or better indicator....
  22. wait....so they're doing a new Spider Man movie that's not going to be part of the MCU?? Is Tom Holland still Spidey?
  23. Anyone, as long as it's a player either current or former......no blank jerseys, no jerseys with your own last name, and no jerseys with stupid bullshit gimmicks on the back......
