LDC is now just another game that we need to win to stay atop the West....it's no longer the "Grey Cup Of Our Season", because now we're a legitimate contender for the actual Grey Cup, plus we won last year, so that whole "curse" thing is broken. I'm really curious to see how the Riders look in Edmonton. In theory, they should kill them, because the Esks are so beat up, they're AWFUL right now, but the Riders are also hot steaming ****, so I'm kinda thinking it might be a 14-12 kinda game...

So I know Denny had a couple big grabs last night, but he had some pretty brutal drops, too, that he needed to atone for. I really didn't feel like any of our receivers had a GREAT night......O in general wasn't something to write home about. Randle the only one who had a really great game.

had a bit of a last minute emergency yesterday evening, so I didn't watch the game until about 11pm, on PVR, and of course I didn't set it for extra time, so it runs out just after we got the TD in 1OT. Cripes, that was closer than I'd have liked. I'm not sure I got the proper "vibe" of the game by watching it on PVR while FFWD through everything unnecessary, but man that was an ugly ******* game. Thought everyone took turns looking like ****...O, D, and ST. It's the first time I really didn't feel comfortable in what the outcome might be in a long time....last few games I was never in doubt. This one...I just didn't feel like we were going to hang on. Thank goodness for a monster game from Randle...

Harris, Jeffcoat and Alexander all came back to play last night after being knicked up...

another interesting note - Tait says they were running "looks" during practice this week where Jeffcoat lined up inside......

Confirmed the Bombers are constipated tonight....no Poop.....in order to get Ogopogo on the roster. Ekakatie our only back up DL, from what I can tell.....this is a curious move....

Don't wanna count any chickens before the eggs have hatched, but I remember reading this piece on Wade Miller when he first got hired for the job, talking about how the guy has basically never failed at anything he's ever set his mind to. The Booster Juice franchise into the whole Pinnacle Staffing thing...he's always been successful. You might not always agree with his methods, and I know personally of people who quit the WBB FC (behind the scenes office gigs...accountants, etc....) because of him, but, if the guy has indeed built a long-term successful brand, then you can't argue with the results...

Yeah, I believe he's one of those full-on Anti-Vaxxers, too.....just all kinds of looney-toons, but the man is still funny deep down, no question about it.

The trouble with adding cuts from the NFL (especially ones that weren't yours originally) is that you don't know how they're going to perform with your current crew. You risk ruining the existing chemistry. Everyone wants to get more talented at all positions, but you really have to do your due diligence. Not every once-great player is going to turn out as well as Derrick Armstrong or Juran Bolden did...

I want to see the D have a real breakout game in terms of turnovers, and especially turnovers-for-a-score. I'd love to see Heath finally get the hands thing figured out (at this point, it's all in his head) and snag a couple. While I don't necessarily think we'll see a dropoff on O (The Montreal D just isn't ready to handle Nichols/Harris/Flanders) it would be a really nice bonus to see that ball hawking D return tonight...

this is all going to be a moo point if the Jets are mostly healthy this year. Losing Little for a big chunk of last year really hurt them more than people realize. If they have their main bodies healthy for most of the year, and if Mason is at least serviceable (or, better yet, Helle finds his form again...) then this is a playoff roster, Maurice or not...

Gotta have an official GDT..... Two teams seemingly headed in opposite directions. Als already-shallow roster is banged up. Bombers relatively healthy (*knocks on wood*) and seem to be playing better each week. Good teams avoid traps and just keep on trucking, regardless of the opponent. Time to put the wood to these guys and keep rolling along.... #FortHew
