Hurl was solid, if unspectacular, yet again tonight....
-
I don't like the "We got called a lot so the refs were bad/against us" thing. We were full marks for most of those calls. As Jim Carrey famously said in Liar Liar, "QUIT BREAKING THE LAW, *******!!!"
-
I want Hammy to win and get it out of their system but they're just not good enough. This is a bad football team....
-
Calls for or against aside, how much fun was it watching a game and not constantly worrying about challenges? God I forgot how much I love the pace of the game, at its most natural..
-
OL didn't necessarily have "their worst game" tonight, but they took too many crucial penalties, for sure. They're still arguably the best OL in the league, and for the most part, provided great protection. At least one sack was on Harris, not the OL...
-
that is awesome -- thank you very much!
-
And not to jinx it, but no way is McDuffie in game shape right now, and how could he possibly have a full understanding of their blocking yet? I'm not saying he couldn't bust one....give him a seam and watch him go....but I don't know that he's THAT much of a worry compared to Harris-to-Ellingson all night...
-
Separated shoulder for Frito....expected to miss 4-6 weeks, which should likely end the Argos season (tho, in saying that, the East is so bad, it won't take much to make the playoffs....)

Enjoying the tweaks for the most part. One little thing I've noticed....when I'm on mobile (and only mobile).....there is only an option to mark the entire messageboard (all forums) as read. I can't just mark the individual forum as read.....

First time in recent memory that I have full confidence in the WBB to win against every team in the league....we are good enough, across the board, to beat anyone. Just a matter of executing our game properly...we do that, we win, every time.

This drives me absolutely bonkers...
-
...I still like him better than Steinbrenner...

Kickoff at 5pm out west here, and I work till 6. Debating if I should watch the first Q at work, then bolt home......stay in blackout mode till 6pm, and then start the PVR from the beginning......or just ditch outta work an hour early and take the chance on wrath of boss......decisions, decisions..... As for the game itself, I think Medlock might be key tonight. If he is healthy (I'm still not sure) and can get back to normal, he could be the decider. If he's still hurting or just in a funk or whatever....could really hurt us. It'll be a tight game...

One of my all time favourite things is when Homer and Lenny are off working on some oil rig and then eventually they're gonna go home....helicopter comes to pick them up out in the middle of nowhere....Marge is up on the chopper and yells down to Homer, and he flies up the rope ladder. Lenny just sitting there..."Awww, there's nothing up there for me....." and then Karl pokes his head out "Oh don't be so sure..." "KARL KARLSSON!!!???" and Lenny flies up the rope ladder. Hilarious EVERY time...

Hit up Costco and loaded up on Kirkland k-cups....we're all good, here!

So.....is this the Game Day Thread......or just a poorly titled pre-game thread?
-
Man the Stamps are just so good. Even when they're not lights out, they are good enough to just straight up kill teams. ST, D, O... Sometimes one, sometimes two, sometimes all 3, they are so good all over and I ******* hate their fans with every fibre of my being for not caring much...
-
And this is really the only point that matters, tbh......the Sabres have next to nothing going on and they're trying to build themselves up, so they need to treat Eichel like the Great American Hope that he believes he is. He'll get paid for sure...but won't be anywhere near McJesus, as it shouldn't be...

Interesting thought from Bauming: @DarrinBauming 32m32 minutes ago More With Dressler out, I expect T.J. Thorpe's role to continue to grow in the #Bombers O. Thru two CFL games; 15 catches on 17 targets, 129 yds.
-
Oh no...oh noooo....ohhhhh noooooooo.....
-
From Ted Wyman, who talked to MOS about Dressler:
-
I quote tweeted this last night....was legitimately surprised. I mean, EVERYONE.....?
-
they keep trying to compare Eichel to McJesus, and I'm all "Why......?"
-
I think Leggett is close to 100......it's Heath I'm concerned about.
