  1. Man what a shitty start to this one...
  2. Thanks guys! Have had some awsome brews and food. Heather loved the Beer Cheese Soup and I had the Pulled Pork at OGC. Fantastic. Milk Stout was as great as advertised and will be even better when they fix the carbonation on the next batch...
  3. Ya the fiancee (that is still ****** up to say...just got engaged) is a huge craft beer nut. Have heard OGCs Milk Stout is epic... Excited to try. Best Game Day ever!
  4. Doing a taproom tour to prime up this afternoon. Started at Little Brown Jug, more very on to Half Pints, then One Great City a bit later. Absolutely gorgeous day for pints in the city. No word of a lie, when we sat down with a taster flight at HPs, Bachman's "Prairie Town" came on the speaker. Fantastic...
  5. C'mon, people... Its almost Noon! Let's get it going! BLM has never lost at IGF... Seems like a good day to break a bad streak. Stoked to be home for my first home opener since I last had seasons tix in 07. Gonna be a great night at the barn. Pregame pints at Barley Bros then let's kick some Stamps ass, yo!
  6. I think I'll go Harris again and hope he's used a bit more this time!
  7. I think my favourite part was Dressler coaching up young players on the sideline and just how vocal he was I general. Love that type of personality in the heat of battle.
  8. We definitely have some nice ones in AB. It goes without saying that the courses in the Mountains (Kananaskis, Canmore, Banff) are ridiculous, but one of the best courses in the whole province (maybe Top 5, for me) is Innisfail, about 15 minutes south of Red Deer. Just incredible. Also, in Olds, we made Golf Digest "Top 50 Courses For Under $50" in North America. Awesome links style course that's always in great shape.
  9. So I'm born and raised in Pinawa and am biased but I believe it's the nicest public course in Manitoba. Stunningly beautiful and really tough to score low, especially if you've never played it. Some long and narrow holes. Bring lots of golf balls and be prepared to get a cart cause you don't wanna walk it! Clear Lake is nice, but in my mind is overrated. If you're in t Parkland area, do yourself a favour and play Gilbert Plains instead. Gorgeous course!! Minnewasta is one of my faves... Gorgeous finishing hole... One of the nicest in Manitoba. We have a cabin at Victoria Beach, so we play Grand Pines a fair bit and our little resort 9er in VB... Both are nice for what they are.
  10. I believe it's called GoStampsGo...
  11. Jacob Ruby has been a turnstile from Day 1. It seems maybe a bit early to give up on him, but he has not showed much in his time in the league.
  12. Ya I thought Alexander was mostly good. It was Carmichael who got picked on most, but as has been reported this week, MOS says he's got a really tough assignment that'll take a bit to learn, and in the meantime, other guys have to help him out...
  13. Bruce Johnson was 6 game IRed.... He's out awhile, so the new guys gonna have to learn quickly...
  14. Which means absolutely Jack squat... What you (or ANY of us) know about playing CFL MLB wouldn't fill a thimble...
  15. Ogopogo might just need a few weeks to shake off NFL rust, as Busterman did in the beginning...
  16. Must be some honeymoon........ #PutDownYourPhone
  17. Tough to win if your subordinates despise you. Don Matthews found a way, but not everyone can.
  18. So here's the thing about Berry... In spite of his record, he was despised in the locker room by all accounts...
  19. Kelly was a train wreck that shoulda never been allowed near the team in 2009....but I voted for Burke. As a HEAD coach, he was beyond atrocious. As a Defensive Coordinator, he was fantastic.
  20. Definitely not a well attended venue... No question about that.
  21. Cgy is just not a CFL town. The whole time I've been in AB it's been like that. Love their UFC, not so much the CFL...
  22. Such a curious near-50/50 split of opinion on Lankford...
  23. And in fairness, that fan volume is mostly because we have louder, more passionate, and overall, more intelligent fans who know when to be loud and when to shut up....
  24. Cool story, bro.... Its nice that you have something that doesn't completely suck in your stink infested garbage hole town.
  25. I tried to make this point last year and everyone thought I was insane. Everyone should have their picks in prior to the first game....
