The owners didn't want it. It disrupts their season and they want all of the focus on their season, not the Olys. The worst case scenario for them was that the World Cup was a bag of crap, which is was, which meant people still really wanted the Olys. Their hope was that people would love the WC so much they would forget about the Olys. Nice try....no dice. Really sucks...Oly hockey is the best hockey we'll ever see.

DTs don't really get sacks, as a general rule.....Doug Brown is arguably the best DT in CFL history, and he didn't get a lot of sacks. He just constantly won battles...

I dunno, on paper, that looks like a pretty solid team. We'll see how the MACK spot shakes down in camp, and what NI Rec ends up being in July, but that looks pretty good to me, for April...

I remember MOS talking last year about how he hates the term "turnover" and the team uses "Take Away", because he feels like turnover undervalues the work of the defense on those defensive plays. Somehow it's always looked at as the offense made a mistake and that's the only reason it happened, rather than giving the defense any credit at all for it, which some would argue is more often the case...

I think the only really good balance is to have distinct Family Zones where there's no booze allowed.

Overall team D was bad this year. Wasn't one individual position holding us back. Injuries all over played a part, but overall team defense from forwards on down was bad.

Leafs, Sens, Habs, Oilers and Flames all likely to make playoffs.... Ain't that some ****....
