  1. I hate April 1 so much...
  2. From John Hodge: "Smith signed a monster 3-year, $450,000 deal with the Bombers prior to the 2016 regular season." http://3downnation.com/2017/03/31/ryan-smiths-retirement-means-bombers/ So, $150k/year......let's put 'er to rest....
  3. if memory serves, he's played mostly (if not ONLY) guard....
  4. Greaves likely a more "durable" option, but Neufeld, when healthy, is a much better player and more versatile (plays every position on the line)
  5. For the record, I know I'm not right, but a lotta talk without any proof behind it, is all I'm saying....
  6. waiting for your proof that I was wrong....
  7. @CFLCapGuy #CFL teams received audited 2016 cap results today. Statutory waiting period, then media release to follow. Really hoping the Riders got dinged as hard as they should.....
  8. http://www.bluebombers.com/2017/03/31/ryan-smith-walking-away-game/
  9. In fairness, I said "closer to 200k" (than $120k).....now, I may have Smith/Dressler contracts mixed up, but I could swear it was north of 150k, for sure...
  10. We should be so lucky...
  11. I remember reading 185k...
  12. I wonder if a quality IMP REC might shake loose in Sask, what with the glut they have over there...
  13. If there's one thing we've learned, it's that it's a small league and players talk a lot....club reputations get around.
  14. he was making a LOT more than that....closer to 200k....
  15. that definitely makes keeping Denmark a lot more important........
  16. jaaaayyyyyzzzzuzzzzzzz...........seriously?
  17. The thing is, knowing Manitoba, there's probably people who think this is "misspending the budget" and that the players are asking for too much. "WE'VE GOT A STADIUM TO PAY FOR!!!"
  18. http://www.bluebombers.com/2017/03/30/blog-on-the-road/ I thought this was neat enough to start it's own thread. We know, from players talking about it, that the Bombers started spending more money on little things, and really acting like a pro organization. Jamal Westerman said they operate exactly like an NFL team. This article has a little more in depth on what that means...
  19. My point being, starting JFG or whoever, is just fine, for now..... (not suggesting all IMP Rec corps)
  20. I don't think starting a potentially-good NI Rec is as imperative as you do. There's other ways to make the ratio work...
  21. I have hereby decided that this kid is *OUR* Brendon Labatte, only more talented......I'm not ready to call him New Walby yet, but, if they're SURE he's not NFL-Bound, take him....done and done.
  22. I know Gray is a Bison, but is he born and raised Manitoba, too? I just assume, but you never know...
  23. ...not to derail a pretty good thread so far, but this is actually a thing that has pissed me off in 2 different workplaces. I've been a victim of it, re: holiday time, where people with families get priority because "well, they have kids"....get f***ed....don't punish me because I wasn't stupid enough to knock up the old lady..... Okay, /Rant
