  1. Here's hoping he's got some Kyries Hebert in 'im...
  2. I will never forget Training Camp 2 years ago, at the soccer complex, and how much Moe got involved with the kids after that days session. Guys coulda gone home, or at least back to the stadium, but he stayed around taking pictures and talking to kids... Explaining what his job (Safety at the time) was. Really stood out to me.
  3. They're being patient with PoolParty. No need to rush him. It's worked out really well with Dr Drai so far...
  4. Still in Edmonton...
  5. Curious to see how much, if at all, Butcher's grown since last TC. He was REALLY raw...had the size and everything, but technically really raw. Here's hoping he's looking more like a pro baller next spring...
  6. It's a low end draft year...no real high end guy like McJesus or Crosby. Patrick is/was consensus #1 guy, but it's a low bar this year...
  7. Nobody in the league is getting that much guaranteed money.... People really need to step back from this mentality that the asking price was all guaranteed money. It's top end, with every bonus met...
  8. That's interesting... Does this guy actually known what he's talking about or is he just really good at pretending like he does, as with @17to85...?
  9. 2 goals I the first 1:30 vs Finn tonight... Not too shabby.
  10. They don't even really need him! I don't think he's played much all year, has he??
  11. World Juniors is ALWAYS a fun tourney to watch. Hockey for the love of country and the game itself. I know less than nothing about the rosters, but I'll be wearing the Team Canada jersey on Boxing Day ready to cheer loud...
  12. And we might not have "developed" KJ, but he was a 3rd stringer with BC when we brought him in....gotta get some credit for that.
  13. Everything everyone is saying about the D in that game is true, but also doesn't take away from the fact that Nichols and the offense stunk in the second half.
  14. Well... He did in the first half anyhow...... About that second half?
  15. If I'm not mistaken, he was the one who had a rep of being lazy throughout college.....might be a red flag there....
  16. hey, I said potential....the guy showed a lot of potential.....imagine he'd been able to sit on the bench for a year or two?
  17. Agreed...of all years, this is the best in recent memory to have question marks at QB going into FA. There's legit options out there...
  18. Banks still has some game.....
  19. Your ignorance is showing. QBs gain a ton by running scout team in practice and getting mental reps from the bench during games. Too often in our recent history, we've had to throw a potentially great QB (See: Elliott, Joey) to the wolves far too soon. It's really nice that we've been able to properly season a guy like we did this year...
  20. Spring 2016.....they only do about 4 or 5 issues a year....he was the cover story. I'll see if I can google it... *edit* http://www.hookedmagazine.ca/id-rather-be-ice-fishing-with-33-dustin-byfuglien/
  21. This is kind of interesting..... http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/pro-sports-subsidies-1.3898261#cbcmb "The Winnipeg Football Club, which owns the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, is entitled to $1.4 million worth of government assistance next year. That comes in the form a $1.4-million entertainment-tax refund, which is unchanged from 2016. The Bombers are also exempt from paying city business taxes, thanks to the football club's non-profit status. The club also doesn't pay property taxes to the city or province because Investors Group Field is owned by the University of Manitoba. Educational properties are portioned at a zero-per-cent rate by tax assessors."
  22. The way I look at it is, if a guy is incentive based (as most contracts are) and he earns his full value of the contract by hitting those incentives, then he's worth every penny you're having to dole out.
  23. Greg Carr was solid for a time......
  24. Sort of true....I'm a huge fishing geek and subscribe to Hooked fishing magazine (Manitoba fishing mag) and they had a huge feature on Buff's ice fishing last year. Went out in a chopper that belonged to someone connected to the magazine, and caught a pile of greenback walleye. He's got his own custom rods, with wooden reel-seats that are carved with 33 on one side and a Jets logo on the other side. It's pretty sweet.
  25. Brett Tessler‏@TesslerSports WR Quincy McDuffie of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers just finished a great workout w/the New York Jets... Easily the best return man in the CFL.
