I don't even know where this idea keeps coming from. He's never once been mentioned in connection to the Als head job... -
How are Reilly and Harris even in the same conversation???

http://montrealgazette.com/sports/football/cfl/montreal-alouettes/gm-plan-murky-as-alouettes-consider-kavis-reed-and-danny-maciocia "... Maciocia still remains in the picture of what has become a murky Als’ scenario. The organization wants to give him a lofty title and position — president of football operations. That would make him the boss of Reed and Chapdelaine, who’s expected to return. But whether this three-headed monster could coexist and work is questionable. Maciocia and Reed have never worked together. Maciocia and Chapdelaine spent one season together at Edmonton, as head coach and offensive coordinator, respectively, but things ended badly. Chapdelaine, on the other hand, might have been somewhat responsible for promoting the idea of Reed to ownership, since those two have a good relationship. But Chapdelaine denied that occurred..." Herb Zurkowsky @HerbZurkowsky1 2h2 hours ago Danny Maciocia has decided to remain head coach at Université de Montreal. Spurns #Als in the process. Herb Zurkowsky @HerbZurkowsky1 38m38 minutes ago Carabins' head coach Danny Maciocia turns down offer to be Alouettes' president of football operations Herb Zurkowsky @HerbZurkowsky1 35m35 minutes ago The #Als will deny this in the days ahead, but the decision of @dmaccoach leaves them with egg on their face - again. Herb Zurkowsky @HerbZurkowsky1 32m32 minutes ago Until the #Als can get their act together, I'm afraid more and more executives won't want to work for them. Players, too. Arash Madani @ArashMadani 29m29 minutes ago Kavis Reed has never been a #CFL general manager. Jacques Chapdelaine is a slam dunk head coach b/c of a 4-2 record? Good luck, Alouettes. -
Seems to be Trevor Harris's MO so far in his career...

This is one of the most insane statements I've ever seen on this board. Wow. I'm not sure I'd trade the #1 for anyone outside of BLM and even then...... Other than lose his job to Shitty Burris, what the hell has Harris done??

He's only FA by technicality. As posted several times, he and Medlock changed their contracts to help the Bombers with the salary cap. They both have desk-drawer contracts that will be signed... -

http://www.bluebombers.com/2016/12/09/blog-consistency-stability/ "...During our rough start in 2016, Coach’s job security was discussed constantly in the media. And even though there were reports of his potential firing in local newspapers, there was never going to be a change. The experts had all the answers, of course. And Coach didn’t have a clue, of course. A day after our loss to Calgary, which dropped us to 1-4, I went down the hall to meet with Mike. He had just stepped out of his office, but I noticed a message from a player written on the whiteboard behind his chair: “Just came to say what’s up coach. We got you.” -

I'd be shocked if they haven't been working on that for awhile now anyhow. They likely knew the extensions were there (just making the announcement now) and were working all along. 'Cause Walters still had a year left on his last deal, anyhow, right? -

Really surprised this wasn't made into a bigger deal. Thought there'd be a huge presser and stuff, but I suppose that's not MOS's way. Not flashy...put the work boots on and get back at 'er. At any rate, this is FANTASTIC news on both fronts... -

Judging by tweets from Zurkowski and Lawless, they're likely going internal for some reason (likely the only way they could find a guy who would keep Chappy as HC) -
