It's a waste of roster spot and if there was even a penny of guaranteed money, then it's a waste.

I'm going to wait and see if there's $$ mentioned anywhere. That's important in terms of these signings. Everyone wants to see the most talented roster take the field, and hopefully these guys are near league minimum just to be transitional pieces and help bring along the next gen.

Tyrel... But yes. We absolutely can find a cheap American to play that spot (Walters regime is littered with quality DBs) but it's all about how you want to use your roster. Based on how this team finds DBs, I'm not sure that breaking the bank for a NI one is that important.... Certainly not as important as re-signing a local kid who is the best in the league at his position, regardless of nationality.

Seems more likely just a sign of Sunderland being with us now...

I think too many people are expecting us to go back to the old 4-3 system with two insane bookended DEs. I don't know a lot about this stuff but it seems to me that with the 3-4 that Younger seems to prefer, it'll be the same as it was last year, not because of lack of talent but just scheme. We're not gonna see the heavy pressure we used to have under Hall... Or that's what I seem to understand if it anyhow. Also, this seems like more than I was expecting....
