  1. Rich loved his Bombay....loved the CFL.....and, when not playing his beloved Lions, he loved the Bombers. Always said 1991 (...or was it '98?) was his favourite Grey Cup...
  2. I don't think DW is as flaky and weird as Tate...
  3. Harris singled that out during the post game....said the receivers did great work opening the left side for him.
  4. a true disciple of Rich "Turd Down" Dowery.....who would be loving this Bombers streak, God rest his soul......
  5. "spilled all over my shirtfront" .....got a chuckle from me at the imagery. I've been careful to not spill on the lucky jersey (blank 2004 navy blue...first year of reebok) ........so far.....
  6. see tags.......hope Edm keeps running up the score. 17-0 Esks in the 1st Q...........
  7. They have been the only part of the team that's been great from Day 1......
  8. @wbbfan you're right...I actually forgot about the fumbles when I posted, but that evens him out.
  9. The D looked like absolutely steaming **** at times, but they came up big in the second half, that's for sure. Humongous.
  10. Andrew Harris gets a star for me....he was a BEAST tonight.
  11. There's 2 byes....is someone taking their second this week?
  12. What was the story with Armstrong? He was a Rider, then went to the States, and then he came back and instead of going to the Riders, he came to Winnipeg instead.....is that right?
  13. Beyond jealous...that sounds awesome. Can't wait to see your guys Untappd. I'm on a committee that's organizing our town's first ever Craft Beer Festival. There's a 5k "Fun Run" to start that has beer stations every km, so you run a KM, drink a beer, run a KM, drink a beer..... at the end, shuttle bus takes you to an indoor arena in town and there's going to be 4 breweries from Central AB with booths set up, telling you about their different beers, and we'll have a beer gardens area set up where you can just sit and chill....listen to tunes, play beer pong and some other games. Going to be a ridiculous day...
  14. gary lawless ✔ @garylawless Hearing @cfl rules committee met yesterday, came up with tweaks to challenge system. Looking to deter frivolous challenges. Board approved Word is there's no more "free" challenge. You'll now lose a timeout with first incorrect challenge...
  15. they sure will, as always.....the chat will get fun....
  16. Get a job, you lazy ****.........
  17. Coming from the north, we park at the zoo, hop on the train and get to Stampede grounds (Flames/Hitmen) or McMahon really easily and relatively cheaply. It's a good system, for sure...
  18. My folks had bought em at Costco and it was unreal good, so I looked into it at Best Buy and the guy told me they keep the cost down because the backs of them are slightly thicker than others. If you're okay with a slightly bigger back on it, you can save a lot of money. Can't get over the picture quality on it, especially at that price point...
  19. while I'm not a huge fan of jamming on with a bunch of drunk yahoos after a game or during Stampede, I'll admit I do appreciate the Calgary "C-Train". It's fast, convenient and relatively inexpensive...
  20. My 50" Vizio Smart from Best Buy is the best purchase I've ever made. Got a floor model for like $400 or something, and it's phenomenal. The picture is great, and the apps work fantastic. High Def sports on that thing are just killer...
  21. I kinda shrug because I don't think anybody really knows what the Commish job entails and what it doesn't. I think they take blame and credit for things they didn't do, and maybe miss out on credit/blame for things they did do....so who knows. That said, I couldn't stand Cohon with his super cheery, almost Joker-esque grin on his face everywhere he turned. He just came across as the most fake person I've ever met, and I can't STAND fake people...
  22. Unless the CFL and CFLPA are behind the game, it's not worth it. Don't make some generic thing with generic teams and player names. No point to that at all. As for Orridge, let's wait for Iso to chime in. He's been leading the parade for hating on the commish...
  23. his second half last year was pretty lacklustre, iirc, and that's why I was eye-rolling pretty good at people calling him the next great superstar earlier this year. Let's dial it all back about 20%......
