  1. That young BC kicker off the post with no time left. A sphincter-clencher, if ever there was one....
  2. No no, I actually was back then! Now I just freelance to keep things running smoothly!
  3. Convo going in the Around The League Discussion thread
  4. As important as the winning is, it's the culture change that's most important to me. Obviously we're not within the walls, but the things we've all read about how the club is operating now, and the respect it's generating from players, agents and management from both leagues, is a really big deal. The WBB FC name was so tarnished before, there's been a LOT of polishing done to get it where it is now. Only a championship will bring it all the way back, but it sure feels like we're at least on the way now...
  5. Yes he did, but he had a contract issue with Montreal....in so much as he was still under contract to Montreal, and they would not let him go to another team.....so he had to stay. Seems to me it was quite acrimonious at the time, but this would be the final year of his contract, I believe, so he'll definitely be looking to get out after this season.
  6. yep...was a contract issue....but he'd be a coaching "FA" this off-season, I believe.
  7. was some talk on Twitter recently that Thorpe might be tired of the gong show and look to leave for greener pastures as soon as the season is (mercifully?) over...
  8. *could HAVE..........and Noel Thorpe was the consensus pick....(with some talk of Calvillo or Kavis)
  9. I got no problems with the dink n dunk offence if it's eating up 7 minutes off the clock per drive...
  10. Medlock is American.......... M*V*P is a toss up between Bond and Medlock, IMO......
  11. Well, I believe he's very green still....in most aspects of being a HC........so while I agree there's been a lot of mistakes made, I'm at least willing to chalk that up to inexperience. I'm a big believer that our biggest reason for turnaround this year is the 3 IMP OL, so I "fault" The Trinity for taking so long to realize that this would make a huge difference. Stubbornly sticking to Neufeld in there to try and force the ratio a certain way.....
  12. Depends on what our line up looks like this weekend. We have a lot of key injuries right now that are going to make it an even taller order than normal. If it was in Winnipeg, I'd give us a better chance, but in McMahon...it's just so tough...
  13. OP feels like click-bait....I'm choosing to ignore and not just drive up page hits....
  14. Bond was hurt, Loffler and Frederick rookie unknowns.......can't really fault him too much there.
  15. Dave and I just had a conversation today about how Bluto once said that we are just grooming MOS and Walters for their future career with the Argos, where they'll win multiple championships. That statement terrifies me, because I believe it. I'm nearly ready to make these guys lifers...
  16. fwiw, Hardrick told Tait "Hardrick Hop or O-Line Leap...I'm good with either"
  17. those of us old enough to remember the game now known as Banjo Bowl (prior to that name) in September 1998........will fully understand why they'd be reacting this way......
  18. For a fan on a mesageboard to say, with confidence, that MOS is leaving more-talented players off the roster in favour of less-talented ones, is laughably arrogant.
  19. Nice for the Esks to lose again but **** the Riders and all their awful fans so much....
  20. Hardrick Hop.... Love it. He named it, he earned it. End of story.
  21. Based on what we read after the team was 1-4, we learned that the team was playing for MOS job. They love the guy, and knew he was in thin ice, and knew it was their fault. What he's created among those players means a lot to me as a fan. It's no secret I want The Trinity locked up asap.
  22. Hardrick Hop... I love it so much.
  23. WR to DB and that was a full time change....Howell, too...
  24. with a fully healthy roster, I really like our chances. Some significant injuries for us, tho....we'll see how we overcome. If I'm the Argos, I wouldn't trust Dan Lefevour two games in a row, but hey, we've made worse look better. Hoping the D comes up huge yet again and carries the day!
  25. We can not POSSIBLY win 7 in a row................... Right?
