  1. Best of luck to Coach Buck and his family, but he will be absolutely dead to me as long as he's wearing green and living in that shithole, backwater province... also related:
  2. It is true though... I've seen talk online about whether Lapo would come back if Buck leaves, and I shudder at the thought....
  3. And that's exactly why he's terrified to do anything but sit there and get rid of the ball. The risk of injury is too great. I also wonder if because he knows how good Dru Brown is (his recent comments) he was absolutely terrified of doing anything that might cause injury and make the Bombers have to go to Brown full time, and then that's the end of the fairy-tale. Maybe a bit of a stretch but you could see it... "Gotta do whatever it takes to stay on the field otherwise it's Browns team forever.... Even if that means taking ZERO chances"....
  4. it's all well and good to ask Collaros to run until he gets popped and is done for the year. The only reason we've been able to keep him as healthy as he's been the past 4 years is because we surrounded him with the biggest, most protective bubble possible. I don't know if it's his own personal desire or what, but he does seem terrified to leave that pocket, even if only to scramble and try to buy time. When things start to collapse, the whole game goes to hell.
  5. it's still THE place for up-to-the-second information. Was hoping Threads would take its place, but nobody is using that. Until Twitter stops being the spot to go for news, it's still valuable. I hate supporting Elon, but it is what it is. Gots to have my news!! The key to good Twitter is to curate it properly... only follow what you want to see. Unfortunately for me, I have to follow the CFL feeds, but right now they're all about the Als which is gut-wrenching. Come the new year, it'll be okay again.
  6. I assume this means you can cross both these guys off the list of potential Riders coaches....
  7. Just so happened to have my regular session with my therapist yesterday and talked about the whole thing and how messed up I was (each day gets better in minuscule increments) and he explained how it's very much a grieving process for a lot of people and a really common thing. But I 100% agree... every time I scroll through the Twitter timeline and see **** about the Als GC parade, I'm physically sick about it. It's gonna take me until well into the new year to get over this. In the meantime I desperately need some cold weather to lock up the lakes so I can get out there and start punching holes looking for ol' Walt....
  8. it really looks like they're gonna be a private company sooner rather than later. Such a shame to see yet another public entity go this way.... Edmonton's CFL franchise used to be one of the wealthiest in the league, even as "Community" owned. As someone said on Twitter, they ran into a perfect storm of ****.... the pandemic+the name change+garbage product on the field.....
  9. Lots going on. As mentioned earlier, The Stove has re-signed in BC...also: and
  10. I was JUST gonna say "**** sakes it's been like 3 days...chill" But definitely expect something by the end of next week.
  11. Had to work an early shift today so after a gym session this afternoon I'm gonna crush some new eps of The Crown. Can't wait to get into this season....
  12. My biggest concern in all of this is the finger pointing. Not a great sign heading into the offseason....
  13. I think there's a chance this team could look a lot different next year, and not for the better......
  14. it ends up being even more expensive because if you're going NI at RB, then you have to have a back-up NI RB, which isn't as cheap as having two IMP QBs......
  15. Didn't Bighill leave the CFL for New Orleans, and then instead of going back to BC, he came to Wpg instead? Right before Training Camp...
  16. the worst thing about those pieces was getting a "Big Voice Guy" (technical term... ha ha) to voice them rather than players or former players or Irving..... get someone who MATTERS to voice those pieces and they have double the impact.
  17. about time to start this thread, and we'll give the first word to Our Man Tait:
  18. as a Bombers fan, I will never ever live this down....
  19. I was thinking about that last night... in the moment, I was in on the theme, because everyone agreed that last year was a fluke and no chance that's happening again. Well, guess what? Now, I don't want to see any more bullshit about how anything belongs to us or it's our right or blah blah blah. Over the history of this franchise, we choke in the big game. That's our MO... it's who we are. Most appearances in the big game ever, and most losses. So no more of this "where the cup belongs" bullshit.... it never has.
  20. it was all very very very lazy. I, too, was disappointed. It goes to the lack of respect the network has for the league and its fans.... and the fact that they won't put the biggest game of the year on CTV is the icing on the cake. Some sort of arrangement that involves multiple networks would help a lot...
  21. Letting Faj complete a relatively deeper ball is one of the most embarrassing things I can remember as a Bombers fan in recent memory. It is staggering.
