They need Quebec around as an option to bail out a failed southern market. QC will get their team but it might be like Wpg did.

Dr Drai going nowhere... That's a no starter I'm afraid...

The Oilers can't and won't trade from a position of weakness. None of their good D will be going. You wanna talk about dealing for a Sekera or Griffin Reinhardt or something, then maybe, but Nurse/BOMB!/Davidson are who they're building that back end around...

Not if it's Auston Mathews for the #5, it's not......

Taylor Hall might be the most underrated F in the league and a tough guy to trade. Thing is....he's a natural leader, and a guy you put the C on...but so is McJesus. As for dealing RNH....he's a big solid C who is young, and just coming into his game. Not a guy I want to get rid of. I love Eberle, but I see him being traded before the others (except that he's got insane chemistry with McJesus, so not likely going to go unless there's a crazy deal on the table). Yakupov could definitely go, but it's got to be the right deal. As we saw at the deadline, Chia isn't going to deal just for the sake of making a deal. No magic beans, thanks....

If the Edmonton 1st is Matthews then Wpg doesn't have enough to make any deal. If it's around 5th or something, then you could maybe talk...

Jets vs Oilers Heritage Classic

Have to think that the lower capacity in IGF means there will be a higher price-per-ticket, but we'll see. If there was anything under 200, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. -

Jets vs Oilers Heritage Classic

We paid exorbitant sums to go to the fLames/Habs game a few years back at McMahon. Awful seats, *FREEZING* cold, and possibly the two teams I hate more than any other in the NHL. But y'know what? It's a ******* OUTDOOR NHL GAME....who knows when or if you'd ever get to see one again?! It's an event...just to say you were there...to be a part of it. We got tix off Ebay, I think...whatever it took to say we were there. I'd likely do the same for the Jets/Oilers, being my two favourite teams, but not sure I can get the time off work to come out from AB. I strongly encourage anyone who has the opportunity to get tix...go....it really is a once in a lifetime deal, and you won't regret it. -

Game 64 : Canadiens @ Air Force One

Every team in the league would like a guy like Myers...no question. -
Don't let rational thoughts cloud a thread filled with conspiracy theories...

That is really impressive considering how shitty the Ducks started the year. Man, did they turn it around...

My issue with the Jump Street/MIB thing (aside from no Will Smith/TLJ, which will derail that end of it badly) is that Lord and Miller (Last Man On Earth, Lego Movie, and the Jump Streets) aren't going to be helming this. They're going to take a Producer credit, but won't be writing the script or really working on it at all. I fully believe those guys were the driving force that made the Jump Street movies as good as they were.

it's not about "helping the Oilers"...it's about getting Austin Mathews. A generational player like McDavid. I think a team might be stupid enough to get rid of a stud D for a guy like Mathews... -

Goalie is fine...just the D that's a mess, and even then, it's more injuries than anything. Eberle hurt, then Yakupov, Klefbom, and McJesus, then RNH. Haven't iced a full healthy roster all year. D is still a mess, but without Klefbom, it's been way worse than it should be. Looking at next year, Klefbom, Nurse, Davidson and maybe Sekera....that's a good start. And they'll get some real important pieces between now and then. That, combined with a fully healthy roster to start next season, will make them a lot closer to a playoff team... -

They'll meet in the middle and find a way to keep everyone happy. They're not stupid...they need each other. -

I'm not convinced they don't trade their 1st, even if it IS the #1 overall. If someone gave them a game-ready-now D Man (not saying anyone would, but IF) like...sayyyy.....Subban, Hedman, Karlsson, Ekblad.......someone young, but will be a stud #1 D for them for 15 years.......I'd make that trade. -

I think the Oilers are just about the only team in that bottom group that's really trying to win. Getting some confidence and learning HOW to win is far more important to that team right now than getting the 1st overall again. Honestly, I think they'd rather not have the pressure of HAVING to take Matthews....get the 4th or 5th overall and take Chychrun (who they need) guilt free... -
I don't give two shits one way or another about Amy Schumer, but Bill Hader is fantastic in everything, and Vanessa Bayer is really funny, too. Trainwreck was a passable RomCom. If you had to sit through one, that wasn't too bad.

possibly Mah-nah-say, as well...

Better than in the all-CFL thread..... WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the club has signed International offensive lineman Manase Foketi. Foketi (6-6, 310, West Texas A&M, September 18, 1990 in Hesperia, CA) signed as an undrafted free agent with Denver in 2013. He spent part of 2014 with the Buffalo Bills on their practice roster, and was with the Saints through the 2014 preseason. Foketi played collegiate football at West Texas A&M, and attended the Blue Bombers mini-camp in Florida in 2014.
