Don't get me wrong, I like pub grub a lot. We spend a lot of time at places like Original Joe's, Montana's, and various faux-Scottish/English pubs that populate Calgary, but we're trying to go to brew pubs more... Places with better beer.

Cory Watson. And not a month later, he got dealt. Because of course he did... Sigh. -
It's standard chain restaurant fair. They have them all over. Food is basic pub grub and the beer menu is full of Molson Coors garbage. Gotta go to more indie places to find something different.

almost forgot I have a Walby and Stoddard (game worn style) jersey that hang in my memorabilia room, along with a Muamba's jersey that I bought off EBay just to have. It's #10 on the back (signed by Henoc) and the front is a #3 (signed by Cauchy) that I just thought looked cool, so I bought it to hang in the memorabilia room... -

There was a blog out there...I think from the States....that used to have a weekly "Jersey Fails" feature, where people sent in pictures of random jersey fails that they'd seen at various sporting events. That was a great read.... -

Yeah, it's that.......and also, nobody needs to point out the fact that I care way too much about this sort of thing and am taking it way too seriously. I'm aware. The girlfriend was beyond stoked to get her first jersey, and I laid out a huge rant about why she's not allowed to have her own name and a random number on the back. She is quite aware now about what kind of jerseys are allowed... -

I hate getting into this discussion because the people who do it, automatically start whining about players switching teams too much, etc etc.... The honest truth is that putting your own name and some random number is a big time jersey fail. If you're concerned about players switching teams all the time, then get a retro player on there. I roll my eyes super hard at people getting their own name on there. I've always felt, and yes it's just me, that you have to earn the right to have your name on that jersey. If I went to camp and earned a spot on the roster, then I can have my name on that jersey. I can't do that...so I'm going to honour someone who did. I have a Stegall, Brown, K Jones, Poplawski and Dunigan that I alternate through. I'm extremely superstitious, so I wear the same jersey every week during a winning streak (rare) and as soon as we lose, on to a different jersey to try and break the losing. Also, for what it's worth, every game.....I wear my Morning Big Blue t-shirt under the jersey.....I'm a big fat hairy guy who sweats a lot, so a shirt under is mandatory, and if I gotta wear a shirt under, I consider the MBB shirt a bit of a good luck charm. In theory, anyhow..... -
I'd watch ******* BC play Ottawa......*fart noise*........before I'd tune into an NFL game. I just love everything about the CFL, from the Canadiana to the game itself.

So word is the Habs are listening to offers for PK Subban. Can't imagine they ever actually do it, unless it's some kinda massive deal. They'd need a star in return, plus some kinda solid, quality D man. Like, we're talking Stamkos + D Man for Subban + Forward kinda thing....

Guarantee the players love him for that... -
As mentioned, CFL tweeted out that Saturday playoff games were listed in error. Will be on Sundays as always...

Personally hate the idea of kow-towing to the NFL, because I can't stand American football. We're a separate entity, we're older and have our own history. **** the NFL. I don't consider it competing with them, because I don't really acknowledge that they exist in the first place.

it's the only logical conclusion. Also interesting that there's ONE home game in all of August.

I'm OCD about laundry. Everything gets one wear, then washed. Jerseys.....sometimes I'll hang 'em back up, but only if I'm CERTAIN that I didn't get anything on it (rare -- I'm so sloppy...) but most of the time it gets a wash. No dryer tho....just hang it afterward. -
Maybe I'm not searching hard enough, but I can't find a way to change the game times based on time zone, which kinda sucks. Also, you used to be able to filter the schedule by team, and I don't see that option anymore, either. Lame new site...

I actually saw on FB "Cotton was useless, but I'm ticked about dumping Peach..." I had no words to even begin to answer this...

Liking the games in Alberta being in decent weather months. Christ we've had a lot of late-season games in Cgy/Edmonton that I've had to sit through. Nice to have some summer games out here...
