  1. I can ALWAYS get behind "**** the USA"...
  2. This is basically how I feel. I'm somewhat of a fiscal conservative, and I think the current incarnation of the Grits are, too. I'm less concerned with Justin as the face, as I am about who the cabinet ministers will be. Have a good money nerd in charge of the finance portfolio, and I'm totally fine with them in power. Like Dave said earlier, the current LPC is a lot closer to the Con's than people realize, just with a more like-able leader, imo. Harper is just such a complete tool and shoulda been tossed a long time ago.
  3. But why look for a way to fight it? What's wrong with being a little more Nationalistic? I wish everyone would look for more opportunities to care more about Canada and the things that represent us. Like it or not, they're the only Canadian-based team, so they do represent us...and I'm always for anything that joins us all together.
  4. Nobody's bringing back Taman...I just can't see it. Of course they were talking about it on the radio...the media guys LOVED him because he's their go-to "insider" for information. I really don't see the PTB bringing him back...
  5. Oh there's no question, this is 75% bandwagon fans.....no doubt at all. But hey, it's a National Pride thing. Like when Hockey Canada ices a team at the Olys or World Jrs or whatever. It's just nice to get the whole country behind something for even a short time...
  6. Logan Couture leaves Sharks practice on crutches. Not good for them, and any poolies that might have him...
  7. Based on my FB/Twitter feeds, living here in west-central Alberta, I'd say virtually all of Canada is on the wagon. It's pretty much all anyone's talking about on social media...
  8. Jonny sounds a little defensive in that tweet, if you ask me...maybe a bit concerned for his job....
  9. Trevor Harris has taken a nice step forward, but it's laughable to think he wants to be the highest paid...
  10. I'm sure it's not dissimilar to how we felt about the 1996 Grey Cup.....
  11. I enjoyed those last three innings so much that I watched the replay again later on Sportsnet One. As intense as that game was, I honestly think the best is yet to come. The Royals and the Jays hate each other with a passion. The last time they played it was a total war, with both sides throwing at each other's heads. It's a good thing Donaldson can duck or he'd be still in rehab, as they were chucking at his melon all game. I expect a few bench-clearings and more insanity for sure. Baseball is a crazy game. I hope that we get a better commentating crew this round as well. That guy with the comment that Canadians can't catch foul balls was really getting on my nerves. Harold Reynolds is a ******* moron. That guy gets on my last nerves. And adding to the KC/Jays rivalry, the KC regional broadcast team was calling the Jays "a beer-league softball team" earlier this year, apparently because they hit so many home runs. Lame.
  12. In 35 years, I've seen some crazy **** happen watching sports. But I have never....EVER.....seen anything that rivals the 7th inning of that game. Very very glad I was sitting at home watching it.
  13. ...as per MOS presser just now......Picard injured, so MG gets the start for this week.
  14. I've enjoyed Harper's campaign strictly referring to Trudeau as "Justin" to try and have people draw the comparison to Bieber. It's cute...and it certainly worked on the parroting rabble...
  15. It's really amazing to me how many people have bought into the propaganda of "Justin Trudeau Is A 20 Year Old 'Millennial'" that Harper's campaign has been spouting.
  16. There's really not much more the Bombers can do at this point, is there? Gotta run with what ya got, and hope for the best...
  17. Ham with no QB is extremely beatable...
  18. There's no guarantees of Glenn's effectiveness. That seems a fair price, IMO. Will be interesting to see how that game goes this weekend...
  19. ...figured this deserved its own thread. As per twitter, Kevin Glenn is now a member of the Montreal Alouettes....
  20. yeah, that's a big ol' hoss, there...
  21. Stroman and Estrada are great choices and, if they pull it off today, Price will get another chance yet...
  22. Just for the record, totally forgot about Adams. Yeeesh. But Demond over Johnson for sure, and that's a statement about DW more than anything because Johnson is good.
  23. They should say "Fine, we'll start a feud" and start taking bets on when the Ottawa team will fold AGAIN because their fans suck. Now THIS is what I want to see...
  24. So as someone completely ignorant to American football, is this guy washing out down south souring peoples opinion on him, in terms of being able to play up here? Or is he still considered a sure fire stud in our game?
  25. This was a massive win vs a VERY good opponent. But NJ/Bos are two of the worst teams in the league. Still, the boys have looked solid to start, especially if they can stay outta the box...
