I'll be honest, I'm terrified of coming home for holidays next week and having the entire province in a funeral mood over the state of the Bombers. I much prefer coming home when everyone's excited and positive. Could be a tough week of only wearing Jets gear...

At this point....when we're so desperate for winning at any cost.......I wouldn't be angry about a Tillman/Taman combo (they're long time friends) or even Tillman/Walters...

I don't think the Bombers intentionally cheaped out on their hires...I think the best names just either weren't available, or they weren't coming here under any circumstances. Look at Stubler as an example. That guy wasn't coming to Winnipeg, no matter how much you paid him. We have a horrible reputation and I'm not sure anyone of worth is going to come here, regardless of money. Now, having said that, we might be able to overpay drastically to get someone experienced...or at least, that's my hope...

At this point, we HAVE to try throwing a pile of money at an experienced person to turn it around. Are we desperate enough to let Eric Tillman try and rejuvinate his career? Will Huff ever leave Calgary? Is Trestman really a genius or was he sheltered by ACs greatness? We need someone with legitimate CFL experience to turn this around, and not another rookie with potential.

For some reason, the MBB Twitter feed still follows that guy...it's so weird 'cause I follow Kevin Smith the movie guy on my own Twitter feed, and I keep expecting it to be his tweets on the MBB feed....why do we still follow that guy here?

attitude and personality are one thing...I don't want straight up assholes. Maybe MOS goes too far with what he's looking for, but I agree with it in principle. There's gotta be a middle ground somewhere.

Count me in the same boat as Mike. I've gone to similar lengths in my life. I used to watch "Fever Pitch" with potential girlfriends just to kind of explain things a little bit and say "listen, if you're not in at this level...it's not going to work". Luckily, I've found someone who gets it and is on board. I think most would agree I'm one of the most positive on this board...one of the last to ever criticize the team or jump on any one player or coach. But I'm just done right now...emotionally exhausted. I can't keep watching all the losing. I'm an Oilers fan and a Bombers fan....it's just too much, year in and year out. I'm coming home in a week and we'd planned on coming in from Victoria Beach (where we spend most of our holidays) to go to the game on the Wednesday night vs Hamilton, but now I'm questioning whether I want to make the drive, buy tickets, etc.....I think maybe I'll just watch it on tv at the cabin, so I can shut it off, if it's a **** show. I don't know what the problem is, or how you fix it, but something has to be done to fix the core of the problem....when even the most diehard among us are giving up....that's a really serious problem.

I'm just officially at my breaking point. I don't believe there's anyone on this messageboard that knows enough to know what exactly is wrong, but there's something really really wrong and I'm ready to concede the season, pretty much. I can't remember ever feeling "lame duck" this early in the season before. But last night told me things are really rotten. We're going to get thumped in Edmonton next week because we always get thumped in Alberta, and then Collaros is going to be back just in time to get some revenge for them against us at home while I'm back in MB early August. Things are going to get a lot worse here, this season...

Montreal asked for Hall, Nurse, Klefbom, the #4 + something else....for Subban straight up. That's been reported. Chia, sanely, hung up the phone. I'm personally not a Subban fan, and think Weber is a big upgrade at that position, if only for a couple years.
