  1. This....and I'm not 100% sure because I don't know enough to know enough....but Willy might need to be quicker, too...
  2. Saw Vacation in theatres and didn't LOVE it, but I laughed a couple times for sure....Chevy's still got it.
  3. Yeah, I remember this clearly....Hall and Benny became available first of all, and when people knew that they were on the market, there was a pretty clear indication we'd have to move on from Etch.
  4. Just watched Chris Rock's "Top Five" on Netflix last weekend. Fantastic movie...was really impressed.
  5. he's a legend...all the best in retirement.
  6. Regarding the OC, I think they don't necessarily buy into that "Addition By Subtraction" thing that some on here are keen to promote. If and when someone clearly better and proven comes available in the off-season, they'll make a jump. Similar situation to Etch....I'm not sure they were as keen to make a move on him as people on this board, but when you get a guy like Richie Hall come available, you make the move because it's a clear upgrade. If and when someone comes available that's a clear upgrade, they'll make the move this offseason.
  7. Wish I was old enough to have been there when it was still primarily a country bar. Have heard some great stories about acts that came through when it was a legit honky-tonk back in the day. Went once, about 10 years ago, and had a decent time. Curious, what's in 4-Play now? 'Cause 4-Play shut down right?
  8. If her story is indeed true, I'm wondering if a) Tyler Johnson had a significant other while this happened and if yes is this person aware? My point here is its amazing how many people can be potentially hurt by her sharing this story with the world. Or if you don't want to deal with the consequences of being found out that you were cheating ... don't cheat. This....is all that really matters.
  9. Good one.I'm interested in seeing how our goaltending situation is after 15-20 games. By far the biggest question for me, and I personally believe that's what decides if this team takes another step forward or falls back again. Jets get quality goaltending, they make a strong push for playoffs. If not, they'll really be in tough.
  10. The only tweet I saw after the game said the team was not making him available to the media. I think some people just like to cry and think the worst all the time.
  11. I think apologizing for missing 4 field goals & a convert was unnecessary as Liram didn't mean to do it. He shouldn't have run off the way he did after the game as that was wrong. He has to learn how to face adversity & deal with it when it happens. Not 3 days later. Hopefully lesson learned. He didn't run off -- the team made him unavailable to the media to shelter him.
  12. Massive understatement. This team is a shell of its former self. Their D is so bad right now, it's almost unbelievable. All they really have going is that Tuuka Rask is still pretty damn good.
  13. Bucknor plays way too far off the receiver. I don't know if it's because he lacks speed or what but throwing under him is easy as pie. Somehow he still manages to get burned deep too so I really don't think much of him. Not sure why he is even on this team. Surely Walters could have done better by now. Every corner in that position plays off the receiver. Better to give up a short pass underneath than get burned for a big play over the top and if the qb floats the ball out to the wide receiver then the DB has a chance to break on the ball. Playing off is simply playing the way he's asked to because there is help under neath from half backs and linebackers, there's no help over the top. Wait......you know you're defending Bucknor...........right?
  14. You remember that Willy did play in 17 games last year right? I'm not on the fire Oshea bandwagon (yet) but we can't use that excuse for last year as Willy did not go down early. This year, certainly we can. Sorry...."start and finish and was even relatively healthy"........
  15. Tough to judge him when his franchise QB has gone down early in both his seasons at the helm. At least now we have a competent back-up. Gotta give him next year for sure...
  16. Payroll is lower this season than the two before, right at MLB average. Nice of MLB to schedule the Jays ALDS home games during weekday afternoons so nobody can watch. What is this about it being scheduled in the afternoon? They haven't even determined the time. For us in the MST, it's like Noon on Thursday, and 10:30am (!!!) on Friday...
  17. Interesting that they're admitting it finally and at least APPEARING to do something about it. Keep the boys off the powder...
  18. Career *******....multiple times repeat offender.....deserves this and a whole lot more.
  19. No f***ing kidding...100% agreed.
  20. Well, I'm a fan, so I'm stoked for another week of Bombers ball and praying for a much needed win.....
  21. Manitoba Sports Fan logic......
  22. Really surprised about Draisitl, but they figure it was between him and Slepyshev, and that was no contest. "Dr. Drai" will benefit from seasoning on the farm.
  23. It worked for Ritchie, who had the same conditions...
  24. The optics of the situation do not allow for extending him, unless something really crazy happens the rest of the way here. Now, if he starts off fast next year, you extend him early...absolutely.
  25. Yeah, that'll absolutely help his confidence....good call.
