Last night introduced a new generation of kids (oldest: 10yrs) to SNES Mario Kart. Having only played other versions, and mostly Wii, at that, it was an eye opener. Good times had by all.

It didn't cost us the game but it significantly hampered our ability to put the game in to overtime. That is non refutable. *Irrefutable.... Indeed. We shoulda been at least tied, never mind a good chance to win it outright.

Between the phantom no end call and Rogers non-catch (trapping) on the long bomb, tonight was a tough one for the zebras.

Tough finish compounded by Suitor sounding like a pompous ass and Black saying Coal-Hurt all night. Painful doesn't begin to describe it...

Doesn't matter if they're fLames fans, Stamps fans, whatever.....most of 'em are idiot *casual* fans, at best....

When you start trusting the word of Calgary sports "fans" for anything, you've already lost........

Well that ain't the NDP then. Maybe the Liberals.....if they were our Father's Liberals....not the modern party, which is NDP lite They seem like a less crazy Con, to me, actually.....but I'm still formulating opinions.

I'm actually okay with some spending to try and fire up the economy. It's just gotta be done smartly...

I can appreciate that, but the off season doesn't seem that long to me anymore, especially with the NHL going till June. I used to think the same way you did. Now Bomber games are just sort of a task rather than being a highlight of the week. Ya, and I can understand the apathy that leads to that, I suppose, but I guess I'm just not there yet...not sure I ever could be. Win or lose, I absolutely love watching CFL ball and especially Bombers ball. I like hockey for sure, but CFL/Bombers and Curling (I know, I know...) will always be ahead of that for me, personally. But, again, I totally get some people's apathy at this point...

I get what a lot of you are saying...and I understand, to a degree, but man....I think about the offseason and how much it sucks with no games on, and I treasure each and every week of Bombers football. I've got the PVR set for tonight, and I'm gonna race home from work to catch it. Whisky ready to pour. I just can't bear to ever miss a game. Don't get me wrong, I'll have the Jays game on "Last Channel" (Unfortunately no coverage of the Oilers game out here...) but the Bombers is my #1 priority. We only get so much Bombers ball, no matter how bad you might think the season is, gotta treasure each game. Hopefully at least a decent game and not a blowout at half time...

If they ever took away the ratio, or even making it a smaller number, I'd lose a lot of interest. I don't love this league because I'm some huge football fan....I love it because I'm a rabidly proud Canadian. This is our game...anything that detracts from the Canadiana end of it is bad, in my books.

I think you can collectively bargain around certain laws. Such as anti trust etc. I would think this would be one of those too No you can't. The only American sports league to be exempt from anti-trust laws is MLB. Rich was right about American labour laws being the reason the American teams didn't have to deal with the ratio. Then how does the NHL work? Or any sport that employs Canadian citizens. The players have to be demonstrated as better than an American. It's recognized Canadian hockey players are. Football is different. You mean CFL is different? Cause NFL would probably have to work the same way. A hockey player isnt better because he's Canadian. There a many American hockey players better than many Canadian hockey players. I think sports leagues get a "pass" I disagree.....but that's just me /DonCherryFanBoi

Rebs are going to be stoked to get Spacek back. They're *attempting* to put something together for their hometown Mem Cup this year. They have (rightly) have concerns about the Wheaties tho, who are loaded for bear.
