  1. Part of me worries that Willy is going to end up like Dunigan with some serious long-term problems, but right now, I'm just glad he's able to get out there and work like normal. If he feels good, and (more importantly) he's symptom-free tomorrow, then let 'er buck...
  2. And if Willy is out 3 weeks and O'Stubborn sticks with Brohm do we still relax while going 1-4? Because I personally don't see Brohm winning one game this year either coming in off thebench or starting. What is to be gained by spending your days worrying about all the negative possibilities, rather than hoping for the positive ones?
  3. I believe I'm already at 2 strikes...yeeeeesh. I'm going to take Cam Marshall... *edit* So Cornish musta got one last week eh? Well, thank goodness for that and only one strike!
  4. It seems like the biggest freak out posts are from posters I don't recognize (new people) so I do t trust a lot of what I'm seeing...
  5. Edm by Toronto, Montreal in Wk 1 was awful....
  6. Too many threads by new posters who know nothing...
  7. WAAAAAHHHHHH!!!! THE SKY IS FALLING!!!111!
  8. I voted Very Well only because Incredible!!11!! wasn't available.
  9. Bottom line: Things aren't that bad...
  10. I don't know if the stamps were out all night partying but that was not the stamps team that dominated the west last year and is expected to return to the grey cup this year. Not to take anything away from the Als but they didn't beat the real stamps. Wait till next week. Huff will have them back and firing on all cylinders. And I don't see why it can't be the same for us. No travel, week of rest and practice at home, and a chance to correct some things. No reason we can't do a 180 this week...
  11. After watching a bit of the hammy game and most of last night I have to agree with you... but it is only week 2... it literally takes half a season before we get a true grasp on every team in the CFLThe number of hot starts turning to crappy falls we've had recently, I'm more than happy to sit and wait for a team to play .500 ball as it grows together and starts to click around Labour Day. People really gotta chill. This site sucks after a loss....
  12. Figure out how to get this D to gel, and it'll go along way to helping the entire team look better. Brohm wasn't great, but he also didn't practice with the 1s all week, and never got a chance to specifically prep for Hammy. Give him a week of prep for Montreal, and a half assed D performance, and things'll look different...
  13. Brohm isn't the problem here...
  14. Don't worry about the O.....D is the only thing to worry about right now. Far greater issue...
  15. OxyContin is what they call "Hillbilly Heroin"...
  16. Jesus Christ...never woulda thought Saad would be the first to go from that crew.
  17. Cody "Better Than Eberle" Hodgson.......no thanks.
  18. Darrin Bauming @DarrinBauming In more pressing news, Addison Richards has cut off his impressive pile of hair. #Bombers
  19. I would think the better person wouldn't need to make any statement at all in an effort to prove that they are a better person, but whatever. But again, back to my original question in this segue: why does the trash talk get to people? It's only annoying if you let it be annoying, otherwise it's just empty noise. And all fan bases have segments who do it, so what makes the 'Rider priders intolerable where other fan bases are not. I don't need a recap of their behaviour, just trying to piece together why it seems so effective in pushing emotional buttons here. Why does the fact that rider fans bother, pretty well every other cfl fan, bother YOU so much. You keep saying to brush it off and let it be etc etc..but you're the one who keeps bringing it up. Listen, people don't like them. You don't need to understand why. Let it go man. Some people just feel the need to try and prove their moral superiority like this. *taps nose*
  20. Man, I'd just assumed he was busted with epic amounts of drugs at the border, but if it's worse than a drug bust....man, I don't even wanna think.....
  21. *Generic joke about how I spend a lot of time here*
  22. Always good for some discussion... http://www.cfl.ca/article/nissan-titan-power-rankings-bombers-make-big-leap Calgary Stampeders Week 1 Ranking: 1 (Last Week: 1) The Stampeders were able to squeak by Hamilton in their Grey Cup rematch off a last second field goal. Overcoming an uncharacteristic three-interception performance from Bo Levi Mitchell, the Stamps still looked like a force on both sides of the ball and were able to beat a quality opponent. Hamilton Tiger-Cats Week 1 Ranking: 2 (Last Week: 2) Despite losing their opening game, the Ticats look like they will be a force in the East. Zach Collaros was able to spread the ball around to plenty of targets while Brandon Banks proved to still be a weapon on special teams. If there is an area of concern for Hamilton, it is a rushing attack that only managed 37 yards with their top three backs on the shelf. They still went toe-to-toe with the best. Toronto Argonauts Week 1 Ranking: 3 (Last Week: 6) Many Argos fans were forgetting about the injury to Ricky Ray while watching Trevor Harris' performance in Week 1. Making just his second career start, Harris picked apart a good Esks defence for 347 yards and three touchdowns. The team's inexperienced secondary also held its own against a top offence, allowing just 11 points. Winnipeg Blue Bombers Week 1 Ranking: 4 (Last Week: 8) The Bombers made the biggest leap of any team in this week's rankings, jumping four spots. The Bombers were able to beat a tough rival in Saskatchewan with many of their off-season additions making good first impressions. It is up to Winnipeg to now maintain the performance on-field but the win was definitely a statement. Saskatchewan Roughriders Week 1 Ranking: 5 (Last Week: 4) Just as soon as Darian Durant returned for Saskatchewan from injury, the team loses its star for the year after he ruptured his Achillies. The team looks like it may opt to lean more on its rushing attack, one that topped the league in Week 1. This is still a talented Riders team with an expreinced quarterback in Kevin Glenn but they start off the season on the wrong foot. Edmonton Eskimos Week 1 Ranking: 6 (Last Week: 3) The Eskimos did not look like a team that had one of the top-ranked offences and defences from last season. Edmonton only mustered up 11 points and could be without Mike Reilly for the forseeable future. The roster still has weapons but they will need to start getting it together on the field before they find themselves in a hole. BC Lions Week 1 Ranking: 7 (Last Week: 7) It would be unfair to the Lions or the rest of the league to move the team from its initial rankings when they have yet to play a game. BC squares off against a REDBLACKS team on a high after a come from behind win against the Alouettes and could be in tough facing a team with momentum. Ottawa REDBLACKS Week 1 Ranking: 8 (Last Week: 9) The REDBLACKS showed that they are better than their expansion team from last season but still have work to do. Henry Burris threw three picks in the first half but Ottawa's new receiving corps came as advertised. Had it not been for a late interception and touchdown, the REDBLACKS could easily be staring at a 0-1 record. that said, they could be learning how to win games they never used to. Montreal Alouettes Week 1 Ranking: 9 (Last Week: 5) After losing two quarterbacks in less than a quarter, the Alouettes look to be entering Week 2 with an unproven Brandon Bridge behind centre. With the loss to an Ottawa team that only managed a pair of wins last year, the Alouettes suddenly find themselves at the bottom of the power rankings and with plenty of questions at pivot.
