World Juniors
It's not so much "not very good" as "really young". This tournament is often referred to as a "19 Year Old's Tournament", and we are a mostly-18s team. On paper, talent doesn't seem to be the issue, but a lot of questions have been raised about cohesiveness and discipline. There appears to be a lot of guys without specific roles and not sure what's expected of them. Not sure if that's on coaching, or Hockey Canada, or what. At any rate, they're on pace for their worst finish since the 1998 Kazakhstan debacle...

Bombers Make Finance Payment
Paul Friesen ✔ @friesensunmedia Why is it news the Blue #Bombers are making a scheduled mortgage payment? Come to think of it, given their history, maybe it is. Right on cue...

Discovered my new favourite thing last night. While using the mobile version, you now have the option of marking each individual forum "As Read", rather than having to mark the entire site as read. I love the option on the desktop version and had always wanted it for Mobile...so stoked that it now exists!

Christmas Classics/Traditions
my holiday drink (be it Christmas, Easter, or Thanksgiving) is Rye n Ginger. There is nothing that says holidays to me like sitting around a table playing cards with family and a glass of rye n ginger. Not much for food traditions, except making pancakes and french toast...the old man always did that when we were growing up, and I've tried to keep it rolling a bit over the years.

Christmas Classics/Traditions
Some of the cable channels have been running nothing but Christmas movies since end of November. We were chuckling because the Women's Network is around the same place as TSN/Sportsnet, so we scroll by it in the guide, and they've had nothing but Christmas movies on since American Thanksgiving... So, they're there, for sure...and on YTV and stuff.....just gotta hunt for 'em.

Game 33 : Jets @ spOilers
Talbot made some 5-bell saves, for sure, but the Oilers are a much better team than people give them credit for. The goals they scored were really nice. Some tic-tac-toe passing and then bar-down......

Christmas Classics/Traditions
We have done Bad Santa followed by Vacation every year for a decade now, among our group. For me, personally, I'm a huge fan of Christmas specials, so I have to watch Charlie Brown, Rudolph, both Grinch's, Garfield, and this year I actually found Merry Christmas, Mr Bean! on TV, so I watched that for the first time in awhile. Always great. The girlfriend is obsessed with Tim Allen's "The Santa Clause" trilogy, so we watch all 3 of those every year as well. As soon as December arrives, our house is like Christmas puked in here...

Mike O'Shea on #QandView
I just realized that Spuds and TBurg are the exact polar opposite posters on this site.......I think the goal of every poster should be to sit somewhere right in the middle of those two, rationale-wise....

I'm curious how many potential FAs are going to want to jump over there because they think it's the best bet to win a GC this year....

Mike O'Shea on #QandView
Toronto had been doing this for awhile.....as in, when MOS was there.....and it's a policy he kept from that time. Simple.

Mike O'Shea on #QandView
We aren't the only team with the policy. In fact I think most teams operate this way now.
