  1. Fan anger? from who? 20 people on a message board? i mean, i like this place, it's cool but if you think they are doing damage control cuz 20 people on a fan forum are complaining, c'mon man. Actually it's the Twitters that got a little irate...
  2. Ehhhhhh...there's not even that much outrage. Just disappointment 'cause I was really looking forward to coming home for the weekend. Here's hoping we're still allowed to bring our lawn chairs and come camp out for a few days...
  3. Interesting stuff, but I'd still bet on the Bombers making some kinda trade for a 1st rounder next year...
  4. North America and Japan + a few select European nations are the leaders in women's sports. This will be a good draw in Canada and a benefit for the communities lucky enough to have facilities to host. It's a shame that we didn't get more facilities built out of this but maybe after this goes well it will happen in the future. As for the Bomber camp I'm sure they will accommodate the fans in some regard. Question for the board: Would you pay a nominal fee to get better access than previous years? Would you donate $5 to the Bombers Fund to stand on the sidelines? Would pay a lot more than that for access not even as good as that...
  5. It seems right that Rogers would want the CFL eradicated. Killed my hockey watching, tried to kill my football, and I expect them to now go after my beloved curling tour, even though they own it....
  6. If I had made travel plans based on coming to a few days of TC (and I've done it before) I'd be pretty cheesed. I think this just shows that the Bombers aren't very connected with their fanbase. BC can get away with holding training camp in Kamloops because no one in Vancouver cares. Winnipeg is different. People care. The fans are passionate. The Bombers seem to just not get that. Even the media doesn't get it. Had to book holidays a couple months ago for what is a really busy work time for us, but it'll be worth it for me, if I can sit in the sunshine and watch some TC with a bunch of other Bombers fans...
  7. ^^^ That is amazing...
  8. It's not as if the Bombers knew about this soccer tournament in advance, so how could they have been proactive and planned for it until now? This is absolutely my biggest issue...you knew about this for a LONG TIME!!! You're telling me you couldn't have had a plan in place? As has been stated, thousands show up every year for TC, so they know what the demand is...
  9. I'm temporarily holding out hope that my trip can be saved if they come up with some sort of answer to the seating problem, but I'm not particularly excited at this point. Was REALLY looking forward to chilling in the sunshine at IGF for a weekend...
  10. and womens soccer of all things. it really is sickening...
  11. **** soccer....even before this all went down...
  12. would be ultra lame...
  13. Fwiw, WBB FC has since deleted their tweet to me, so here's hoping that they receive some serious backlash and make other arrangements...
  14. Was really really really looking forward to this...hugely disappointed in WBB FC.
  15. Wpg Blue Bombers ‏@Wpg_BlueBombers 26s27 seconds ago @radionoel unfortunately given the location of training camp this year, practices will not be open to the public.
  16. Ritchie's first year woulda been the '99 Pan Am Games, right?
  17. Well, we were going to drive home from Calgary that weekend to watch TC and apparently now that weekend trip is toast. **** you, soccer...once again, you've proven how useless you are.
  18. Wow.....so....where exactly is it being held? Is there even a place to sit and watch??
  19. And the thing is, he might be one of those guys who's worth more to us than to another team, in which case, it might not make sense to deal him.
  20. It makes sense to trade Greaves if you're getting a big return...I'd really have to see what they'd get in return.
  21. I would want another OL coming back, even if it's a back-up, for depth purposes. I'm not a big fan of trading one of our only consistent OL from the last several years.
  22. LOL! Wow....just wow...
  23. If this was the first, or even second occurrence, I'd be willing to consider giving him the benefit of the doubt. Can't wait till he's gone...can't wait, can't wait, can't wait...
  24. Well I like long term planning. To me it is a bit of a red flag. I'd be much more comfortable with a 3 year deal, considering most rookies don't make much of an impact their first year. I'm not sure there is such a thing as long term planning in the CFL...
  25. So Chungh maybe has more desire to try down south or something? Or wants to try sooner? It's really not a big deal. Don't worry about 2 years from now...
