And now you're whining about the whiners whining about whining.......my goodness, I've gone crosseyed.....

Harper and the version of CPC he's run absolutely do terrify me. Not sure Justin is the right guy, but Steve needs to go...

Welcome to life at Pinawa Secondary. So many over the years...I'm not even sure what the grand total is. During my time, I believe there were 4, from 1992-1996. During my mom's time, in the late 60s/early 70s, there were 5 in 5 years. At one point in time, Pinawa had the highest suicide rate per capita in Canada, with only 1500 people (ish) and the sheer unheard of volume of suicide. Sigh.

This is basically what I'm hanging on to. Doer was great...the province was great. Selinger just ****** everything up. The NDP, as a party, aren't necessarily the boogey man, as Doer's NDP proved. I'm taking a wait-and-see approach to all this. We desperately needed a radical change.

Okay, I'll be the guy: He's a giant *****. He complains and begs for calls all the time. They call him "Palms Up Crosby" for a reason. Bottom lip always out. Skates constantly with his head down, and when he gets clobbered for it, everyone else is the villain. Bullshit.

Blue Bombers acquire defensive back in trade with Calgary

The point: MOS knows NIs playing the MLB position. Sam Hurl is not likely to be that guy...MOS knows better. -

Well, you'd better let MOS know, 'cause that guy doesn't know a damn thing about NIs starting at the MLB spot........... -
Potential for him to be a big part of things this year, even as a rotational guy and ST. He's a quality NI.

Yeah! Thats him! Safety/WIL, I believe.....do you seriously not remember Graig Newman? Was a really huge deal that we picked him up last off season and was projecting to be our starting Safety (??) and was a fairly significant blow when he got hurt....

95% of the criticism he gets, I don't understand at all. He gets the most attention from the media, so it comes with the territory. People criticized Gretzky & Lemieux as well for being floaters, whiners, etc. It will happen with McDavid too. Could you imagine how much hate Gretzky would have gotten if he'd played in the age of the internet and social media? And mighta been even worse if cell phones had existed in those days, considering the amount of public partying those kids did back then around YEG...

This, 100%, is something that's very important for me. I'm in NO WAY a comic book nerd, and have a really hard time with anything "out there" that requires any kind of nerd imagination. All the stuff in the Thor movies is not for me, and Guardians of the Galaxy was really not for me. I love Captain America because it's grounded...it's reality, in a lot of ways. The biggest way AoU slipped for me was being a little too fantasy-sci fi-nerdy....

IceCaps' new name, logo to be unveiled Monday

logo is cool, but I'd hoped for a True North compass point in there somewhere... -

so Moose it is....welcome back! -
Seemed to me that they weren't trying to make him a cold, emotionless killing machine for this movie. They were really trying hard to blur the lines between Good Guy/Bad Guy, and they made Ultron a character that really believed he was the good guy in all of this and made you question whether or not he was right.

Apparently Varga went according to Drew @ Hamilton Spec...

He was our best RB throughout camp. Really quick and able to find seams.

...and by all accounts stood on his head...

Real good news...excited to see what the kid shows this summer and hopefully fall!

Good for Goltz who was (is?) a good guy and loyal ball player. Awesome for Pinball Clemons who is one of the best things to ever happen to the CFL...

I'm curious.......are there a lot of people on here that think Willy's play just declined as the season went on, as opposed to being a victim of injury, and that it wasn't necessarily the same QB in the 2nd half....?

The Jets are dead. Long LIVE the Bombers!
Noeller replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
When they first came back in 2011, and people in AB were asking me about it, that was the line I used a lot. That's what I remember most from growing up in the 80s/90s... -

It really is the exact same thing. It's getting gross. -
That's just a silly game to play. If we played that game 2 months ago, why sign Stanley Bryant, cause he might get hurt. Go with the smart money, start Taormina and save 80 grand. What a silly answer. Bryant is a known upgrade over January and we sorely needed O line upgrades. Well worth the money especially over a guy who shouldn't be starting in the first place. Willy's a sophomore starter who was great for the first 5 games then looked like a rookie for the rest of the season. If he was one of the top 2 QB's in the league, we'd not be having this discussion. BTW: The point I was trying to make, which went over your head, is that we have a lot more on the line if we give Willy his 150K raise, 100K of it as a signing bonus than we do if we simply wait and let him earn his raise. You're right there's hardly any risk involved in allowing him to play out the last year of his contract and test free agency while we also have his heir apparent (to some) hoping to head to the NFL next offseason. Worse comes to worse, Bombers lose Willy to 2016 free-agency. Marve wouldn't commit here and wanting to exhaust his NFL options. Brohm might take the same route. And we end up with Portish. ...FINALLY!!!!!!!!!

...and they've known for a very long time that an extension would be (hopefully) necessary, so there can be no doubt that this wasn't part of their plan all along.
