I grew up in Pinawa....we're taught from birth to beware the anti-Nuke voice out there. My grandfather was a nuclear scientist who worked his way up the ladder at Atomic Energy of Canada and created Whiteshell Nuclear Research Establishment in the 60s, along with his team. We were taught various "emergency protocols" throughout school, just in case something should ever go wrong out at "The Plant", but nothing ever did. The amount of safety measures in place...especially after incidents like Chernobyl and Three Mile Island.....really kept the dangerous stuff at bay.

No clue if that has any basis in reality, but it's something that's out there in the rumour-verse......

Disagree completely. Found myself, oddly cheering for Burris yesterday. Like to see the old guy leave with a cup.And the fans were not the problem in Ottawa in the past. The problems in the past were all about bizarre ownership and management combined with a a terrible stadium and lousy teams. I agree. Why should the fans suffer because of that. That would be like saying the Jets should have playoff success because Jets 1.0 moved. Horrendous analogy. Completely different scenarios.

First, there's absolutely no reason to think MOS wants KJ17, because they have next to zero connection whatsoever. But, for the sake of argument, if that's who they want, then it's really simple. MOS is still coaching....Walters could be recruiting, could be doing whatever (none of us knows...) and Wade does have the pre-existing relationship, so he would say "Listen, you guys are busy...let me do some inquiring" and that's that. Iso, I know you hate this current regime, and that's fine...that's your prerogative.....but seriously, the level of spin you're putting on things is getting out of hand. Nothing is ever as bad (or as good) as you think it is.

Buff's size basically prevents him from playing well on back to back nights, especially when they're roadies. It's just gotta be so tough to maintain an energy level while playing at that size...

Bottom line, Jets looked like a team playing road games on back to back nights. Needed Hutch to have a hero game and bail 'em outta a jam, but it was a tall ask. They'll look much better vs TO on Wednesday...

I don't watch any of those home reno type shows, but I'd watch the **** outta Mike Holmes Fixes 24 Sussex.....

Best news: principle photography for Bad Santa 2 starts in January in Quebec. Should be in theatres for next Christmas. That cast will really miss Bernie Mac and John Ritter tho....

They've already announced that Sanchez is coming out of the bullpen to join the starting rotation next year... Fwiw.

MB will get canned but my concern is that there won't be a really experienced CFL OC available. Having both Benny and Hall come available last season was a total fluke. We couldn't possibly be that lucky on O this time could we? I'm not exactly thrilled at the thought of trying out yet another inexperienced guy at OC...
