Great to hear...cold, drizzly and a high of +9 out here in AB for the Stamps/Leos.....

This is really the thing for me.....we've had some of the league's all-time worst teams over the last decade, and the fans STILL sell the place out. The Riders would be lucky to get 20k with those teams. The difference between Bombers fans and Riders fans, is we have more "die hards", but less "casuals". The Riders have WAY MORE casual fans than any other franchise and maybe even more than some NHL franchises in Canada. They're the ones who buy the merch because it's "cool" to do so right now. They badly need another extended run of Al Ford years to thin out their ranks a little and shut them up but good... Rider fans used to cry, cry, cry when Ford was GM. That era in the 90's was brutal & I know crowds of 10-12,000 wasn't the exception but the norm. When I lived in Dauphin, I had a roommate from Sask who is the most die-hard CFL fan I've ever known. Legit huge Rider fan...and I know this because he had seasons tix during the Al Ford years, earned his bragging rights, and is full marks for all the good stuff he's reaping now. I like those guys...they're the real deal, and he made me a better CFL fan. Taught me to appreciate the entire league and its history, and not just the Bombers. The post-2003 crew.......f*ck them so much.

Lawless had a good line in the FP today (...I know, I know..) to the effect of "It's as close to a must-win game as you'll get without it being an elimination game" and, to me, that's about right. Really REALLY need a win today...not only to stem the losing, but to keep pace with BC. We're still in this thing, but man we're pissing it away quick. Let's go Blue!! #GameDayWeAllPlay

Fey's time as head writer is among my least favourite eras of SNL. I'm terrified how bad things would be if she was head writer with Aidy Bryant in the cast. *shudder*

I like Renaud and would like to see him back, if for no other reason than to let Arugala concentrate on just one thing...

McKinnon and Thompson for sure. I'm not 100% sold on the other two though. "What's up with that" was good stuff.This year is Thompson's last. I have a ridiculous crush on Vanessa Bayer...no idea why #TooManyTeeth But she is a REALLY funny chick. The ladies on the show right now are the funniest collection they've had since Molly Shannon, Ana Gasteyer, Cheri Oteri, etc... She plays the same character in most skits. She's just ok imo.Disgree re eras of woman. Fey, Pohler, Dratch, & Rudolph was the best era for women on SNL. Kristen Wiig is great too, but she came in at the end of that era. I never got the appeal of Molly Shannon. I found her annoying more than funny. Ya this is one of those things we have to disagree on. Can't stand the Fey/Poehler love and am Luke warm on Wiig, at best. It's hipster humour, I think. Molly Shannon was incredible... Comes from the same school of comedy as Ferrell where it's "absolutely anything for a laugh". Fearless woman.

My buddy...a radio friend from my Dauphin days... Produced that spot in Edmonton. He didn't write it, but he put it together. He's a rabid, die hard Rider fan from just north of Saskatoon. He loves the damn thing... Super proud of it. My biggest problem with the damn thing? It says Rider fans are great fans. Bullshit. They're among the biggest bandwagon jumpers of any sports franchise anywhere...

Completely off-topic (obviously) but Andy Samberg's impression of Nick Cage is probably the best thing to come out of SNL over the past 10-15 years! Not to derail the thread but this is massively false...

I think a lot of people are freaking out because of Lulay and need to realize that it's very different injuries...

Never mind that most followers the league over will tell you that not only is he the greatest all time Bomber OL but likely the leagues all time greatest as well. If he played today, Walby would be an NFLer and never see the light of day up here...

I'm starting to wonder if maybe starting Brohm and have Willy back up is the way to go. See how Brohm shows in the first half and if need be, put Willy in for the second....
