  1. Good news, to be sure...even if he's not 100%, he's still a weapon in many ways.
  2. Paul Wiecek ‏@PaulWiecek 18s Drew Willy will practice on Friday, no major issue with hand. "Drew's fine" - Bombers HC Mike O'Shea. #bn
  3. Penton says Unamba got in tight on him as he was throwing, and got a hand on the ball. Sounds like maybe bent the hand back pretty good...
  4. he's banged up that hand a few times already this season. First time was early in the season when he banged it on a helmet or something. They gave him a lotta pain meds and he came back in the 2nd half and found a way to win...said on TSN afterward that he was on a lot of meds. Then a few games later he got it bent back pretty bad, but found a way to fight through. He's been a Ritchie style "Wah-Yah" this season, for sure, but I wonder if too many shots to it finally did him in...
  5. I want Rider fan enjoyment to be as short lived as possible......
  6. It's good for him. It's bad for the rest of us now b/c now, assuming he doesn't play, we'll have to see 10k closeups of him on the Rider sidelines during the game this weekend. Isn't that exactly what happened when Fantuz came back a few years ago? He was on the sidelines for the Labor Day game the day after he signed. Yup, but this time Dressler will be in the line up and I hope someone takes an unreal wicked run at him...just absolutely tee off and lay the wood to this guy. Wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit to see him get Woodcock-ed... What's this about? Do you have anger control issues or just generally wish physical harm on anybody who doesn't play for your team? Generally speaking I want to see all the best players playing so there are no excuses when my team kicks another team's a$$ but I guess that's just me. ...This.

  8. Why anyone especially a Bomber fan want to post at Rider Fans is beyond me. Best to stay away & let the fan base copulate with themselves over there.gbill and Mike post there .I know. That's the last place I'd ever post. The gang mentality as well as the hatred by a lot of the fans to anyone from another team is that site's big downfall. I used to post there a lot in the beginning when Chaps was the owner. But Rider Fan In Calgary owns it now & I really saw a change in the way people (other teams fans) are treated. I haven't posted there probably since 2006 or 7. And I never will again. I know Nate is over there posting away as as **** disturber & maybe that's the best place for him.All Nate really does over there is criticize the Bombers. That's all he does here too. You can spot Nates bullshit anywhere no matter what name he's going by. You should see some of the crap he posts on some of the curling message boards too. Wait. There are curling message boards? Well there used to be, no idea if they're still going or not, it truthfully might be just Nate there ranting away. www.curlingzone.com I go there a fair bit during the season...
  9. Oooo...I feel shame now...sorry...Dave in 4th, likely.... #HugeKindlyCalFan #AlsoForgetful #OldManProblems
  10. Berry was a good'n, but nobody was Dave The Bear. To me, there's Bud Grant, Mike Riley and Dave Ritchie...
  11. I still remember the Burris fallout...most fun in ages...
  12. I'd think that Dressler and Willy are probably pretty tight...
  13. Awesome for ol' Dave The Bear. One of the best coaches of all time in the CFL as a whole. I've been a Bomber fan my whole life, but when Ritchie and Taman took over, I became a hardcore, fire-breathing, crazed superfan who joined the messageboards. Ritchie's teams were something else...
  14. Yep, t here's no question about that...Rider "fans" treat former Riders like gold....way more so than any other market. There is no question about that.
  15. The more I think about it, the more I realize this is just a business move. "Streamlining operations" would be a good way to put it. As someone pointed out, Bell's was a redundant position and it frees up cash to do other things, off-field
  16. This is greatly concerning to me but as always, we'll see what comes of it...
  17. No but I really should get one. And mbrg, there was some consternation re: Clark on account of all the drama when he left for Calgary...
  18. that was something we'd talked about, but 17to85 already has one, so that makes it a no-go. I once saw a Ladrius Vann jersey when I was at a Bombers/Stamps game, which tells me that it would be okay for me to have a Spurgeon Wynn or something of that nature. Maybe get a Tee Martin...
  19. they would "pro-rate" that contract...
  20. I was a huge proponent of that move. Loved him as a Rider and he was a great WBB. Lotta people with hate on for KG5, but I've never been one of those...
  21. I hate revisionist history so much...
  22. We've been saying for a long time now that AK19 is a glorified Brazzell...
  23. Semi-related: I have one of these....the first year Reebok took over after Puma....and it's unstitched, whcih drives me nuts. So 17to85 and I have been in discussions as to who I should get stitched on there. I have a Doug Brown jersey, a Khari jersey, a Milt autographed jersey that hangs on the wall only....got a Stoddard one awhile back....would Brian Clark be appropriate? Maybe Wickman?
