I'd agree with this. On the post game show, after the coach's interview, I will move to TSN1290. And don't get me started on the number of commercials they play. There's a reason they're able to play so many commercials.......massive listenership.
-
Agree with your points on CJOB, but for me, TSN is no better. They really subscribe to the American/ESPN -style of broadcasting where it's all about the flash and no real meat. Lotta yelling and trying to manufacture excitement, but I just want someone to tell me what's happening. No zany catch phrases, no gimmicks....just tell me what's happening. That's all I want. Irving is a broadcasting god. Nobody in the city, any sport, is even close to the guy.
-
...Because they want you to think they're a bigger deal than they actually are. Radio is all about marketing
-
CJOB is broadcasting the game, as they maintain the rights for the next several years. TSNs "live coverage" is their Pre-game, half-time, and post-game stuff. They're not legally allowed to do PBP or even stream the other team's PBP of the game on their station....
-
As far as I'm concerned, a Bob Irving call of the game is better in pre-season, anyhow, because he's gonna know a hell of a lot more about the players by that point, then the jerkoffs on TSN...
-
All of these cost significantly less than full production of a football game, unfortunately.... Ad revenue doesn't add up, so no pre-season 'ball. Boooo....
-
Moore plays 18 games (or close to it) and that offense begins to look better. Cotton does what we all know he can, that offense begins to look better. That OL gives Willy the time to do what we know he can do, that offense begins to look better.

Bombers working on trade for Evan Gill?
Noeller replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
It's exactly why I don't really care about what they say and have no interest in that new website they're a part of. They're the type of lunatic fan that I don't enjoy, from ANY team... -
In all seriousness, though, how good is that battle at RG going to be?

I almost feel like this is a dummy roster...full of typos or something.

If I can sit and watch TC, I'd gladly sit on some hay bales. Hell, some of the best times of my life have been sitting around on bales...

Addison Richards signs with the Bombers?
Noeller replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Depends where he lines up eventually. If he has the size to play wideout then he'll most likely ever only play on one side of the field, reducing the number of routes on the tree by 50%. And it's not like every team uses a zillion different routes, I can't see him learning (or knowing) being that big of an issue. Just gives you an idea. Very cool...thanks for sharing! -
