It's really not that complicated. The current East Div Champs are guaranteeing him a starting job...slip right in there and maybe win a cup this year. That's a no-brainer.
Bauming figures there's a good chance the Bombers get Willy, so hopefully that comes to fruition. I'm no Burris fan, but I'm willing to ride it out for a year or two, if we've got Willy in the wings. Personally, I'd be fine with just Willy vs Hall in camp this year...
This seems like a really solid move. No "part time" owner. This is an owner that can afford to take the loss each year. Hopefully they get outta the SkyDoom and into something more CFL-ready.
Suber's a great guy for ST and he'll be huge in the locker room. Can't underestimate that. If he earns a starting spot on D in TC, then more power to him. Welcome back, Suberman...
There is not even a question that Flutie, Moon, Dunigan, Ray, Garcia and Dickenson were all better. Probably some older guys, too. Calvillo did some good things because of a superhuman supporting cast, but he's massively overrated.
Since when do fans dictate front office personnel decisions?
I'm not sure if our fans are THE most entitled and self-important, or if it just seems that way...
Who gives a **** when they tell us...? I'm more concerned that they make the right pick, rather than rush it just because some impatient people have their panties twisted. Chill out...there's good times with the Jets right now. Let that carry you till there's more Bombers news...
Love Frenchie Pontbriand...that guy should have a checkered lumberjack's coat and toque as a uniform. One of our great, unheralded ST guys who never stops trying, no matter what. Wish more guys had his heart and determination.
Milt won the game with one of those patented seam-routes that he was so famous for. We were pretty drunk watching that game on TV in Brandon, then went to celebrate the win at The Roadhouse, and ended up getting tossed at about 1am when one of the people we were with mouthed off to a bouncer. SIgh. It was a night...
our post-Ritchie era thru to Doug Berry is full of some truly awful memories of games vs Montreal. One of the only highlights (...and it's BARELY a highlight...) was the game from 2004 (2005??) when we won something like 52-45 (??)...and Kamau Peterson actually called it on the old OB.com 'cause they'd apparently designed a gameplan for that specific game, all the way back in April of that year. Sigh...not a good era.....f*** everything about Calvillo and the Als...
