Looked brutal. I had something relatively similar happen playing baseball, when I went to barehand a ground ball and it didn't turn out too well. Snapped fingers back, and while it didn't break 'em, they were in a splint for awhile. I can only imagine how much worse it was for DW, 'cause they REALLY bent backward.
he said on TSN immediately after the game "I'm on a lot of drugs right now, so we'll see how it is later"...hoping that it's not massively black and blue this morning (his hand)...
When they had 21 on the board in the first 3 possessions, I said "This is a direct result of having no film on these guys"...so they were forced to adjust as they went...same story on O. But a tip of the cap to both co-ordinators who have the smarts to recognize what they're seeing, and adjust FAST. I doubt we have this problem with Montreal next week...
Greaves, January and Willy all hurt....January came back and Willy took a lot of drugs (according to him, on TSN after the game) to numb his hand so he could throw. Goosen came in to play Guard for Greaves, and Jake Thomas lined up at TE to beef up blocking without Greaves in there...
I tend to look at it as "If Grigsby's seeing this much production because of MB's offense, then what would Cotton be doing??" ...because Cotton's just a far superior back, in all facets. Looking forward to both Ford and Cotton getting healthy so we can have legit choices at RB, and not just "Only Guy Who's Healthy"...
Portlandia is pretty much the definition of hipster...don't even get me started on that. ....And I say that as someone who is a massive SNL fan and really likes Armisen...
Not me, I go after their pair of rookie halfbacks early and often.
Yeah, as much as people want to **** on JJ, here's the thing about him: He's always at his best when he has a chip on his shoulder. And he has a MASSIVE chip on his shoulder about being released here. He wants to have an oustanding game, if for no other reason than to say **** You to the Bombers. He might get torched all season, but this first game against Winnipeg? I bet you he's lights out...
This...I loved having my season tix when I lived in MB, but I'm also a huge fan of watching a game at Victoria Beach. We've got a dish, so we can sit and drink and watch the game, and then down the steps and into Lake Winnipeg for a dip at half time, then back up for the 2nd half. It's actually exactly what we did last Labour Day when we had a family get together...
I just can't handle these shaky one-camera faux-doc -looking things. Can't do it...tho, the Robin Williams "Crazy Ones" was sorta like that and it was fantastic.
Alright, after reading MOS' comments in the FreeP about this, I realize it's a non-issue. I take back any previous statements of negativity toward BT...
After not being online for the game last week, I'm excited to get the chat room going again this evening. Re-stocking the Gibby's after work, and the old lady found herself a case of Half Pints (she's a big craft beer snob) to bring some Manitoba flavour into the house. Gonna be a good'n! GO BLUE!! Game Day: We All Play.
