  1. Glenn in 2007 was pretty damn good...
  2. If we were going to have a guy like Burris, I'd just as soon have Kevin Glenn back to mentor a young guy. Less attitude problems, same fair-weather QB problems..
  3. "@CFL_News: #BCLions hope to install Paul LaPolice next week as new offensive coordinator Good for him. Great guy and a solid CFL man. Not sure he's an upgrade for them, but glad to see him get a gig anyhow.
  4. Well, that's something else. Good experience for O'Shea to lean on. So, if they're looking in that direction for DC, do they try and find someone equally experienced on O, or are they okay with the relative rookie that is Khari? Things are trending upward...
  5. Proulx rocks...great ref, great guy.
  6. Why do you say that? Not even as a position coach? I don't know that he'd be my first choice at OC, but I certainly wouldn't object to having him in a different role on the coaching staff, like receivers coach for example. He's not a bad coach I just don't like his philosophies. What would that be? Deciding that Jason Boltus is a quality QB, for one....
  7. I'm thinking it had more to do with being an unemployed former head coach who took his team to the Grey Cup in his second season. Or...y'know...the first thing...
  8. Really thought that Lapo had the buzz because of his TSN gig. People seem to see "On TSN" as "Highly Credible" for some reason. Hmmm...gotta think he'll get a co-ordinator spot somewhere.
  9. Neither one of them should be an option, is the bottom line...
  10. Word is that the Bombers feel strongly indebted to Bellefuille for airlifting in during the middle of a completely helpless situation. Really a no-win for him, but he still did it, and probably got a lot more done than anyone thought possible. Now, whether that sense of gratitude translates to "we owe you a job" is unclear at this point. Not sure I want him as OC, but wouldn't mind him as some kind of assistant.
  11. It's almost as if this management team is doing all the right things...doing them the right way.............*shock*........
  12. Lol @ Best Ever. Very excited for what seems to be a stream of really good things. Hoping for more positive news as the offseason continues.
  13. One of the league's all time most notable players, the greatest receiver in the history of the Grand Ol' Loop........and he was right to say it. ...But that's neither here nor there.
  14. HCs have to be motivators. You hire co-ordinators to be X's and O's guys....
  15. Wait, that's our Mike that asked that? ....I feel so....let down. Which one are you, the one with the backwards cap or the stupid glasses? Oooo...I should clarify that I THINK it's MBB administrator Mike that is that guy, but I'm not 100% sure of that...just assumed.
  16. One thing Penton said to Mike on Twitter today (sorry to creep...ha ha!) was that it sounds like the co-ordinators are going to be chosen by the entire team working together. Wade, Kyle, AGMs, and O'Shea....as with everything so far, they're going to be working like a joint task force to get stuff done, and that'll be no different with the assistants. So it'll be interesting to see what the consensus picks are!
  17. I like the general positivity surrounding all of this. No more laughing stock...actually being applauded for moves. Not that outside opinions mean everything, but it's just nice to not be embarrassed about what we're doing. I feel really good about the direction we're headed. Attaboy, Wade...let's keep 'er rolling and hope for good things on the field!
  18. ...Cortez to get a 2nd interview, and Bellefuille reports he understands he's still in the mix. Khari and O'Shea still considered as well. Interesting that Cortez and Bellefuille are in the thick of it. Not sure we really gave them much consideration...
  19. I wanna know how this guy is best friends with Miller...
  20. Fan-freakin'-tastic....love this move.
  21. the way the media were referring to it as having probably seen his last days as a Bomber....I'd be inclined to think that he won't be back. I liked Chad Simpson, and all, but they grow RBs on tress down south...
  22. Obviously Miller is forcing Walters to hire Khari Jones and this meeting is really just about working out a contract. I wanna know why they're only interviewing the people in the province "right next door"...the optics of this make me sick. And why only 2 guys? They should interview the whole staff!!
  23. Said in the paper today that they had a bunch of candidates to interview for HC, and had around 30 people for the scouting positions that they had to go through. He's got a lot of HR work ahead of him, but it's good to see!
  24. This is complete and total speculation that it's Walters/O'Shea vs. Miller/Khari....ridiculous that we're treating it as fact. Well I'm glad you said it. Bugs me to no end that people are willing to treat this crap as fact. Isn't it funny how when it became apparent that Walters was the GM the rumours switched from Khari for HC to O'Shea for HC? Sounds to me like a lot of speculation prior to a GM being in place and once a GM was in place his choice is the front runner, is that not how it's supposed to be? But nooooooooo you all gotta be typical Bomber fans and run around like ******* talking about a conspiracy. So are you going to also say the search for GM was thorough and transparent process or that maybe, just maybe it was a one-horse race since Miller got the chair? The only thing any of us can say, is that we have no clue what was or wasn't done. Maybe Miller talked to a dozen people, and was really discreet and the media didn't know. There is no way any of us has a clue what was or wasn't done.
  25. There was at least evidence to back that up.
