Compare building a football team to building a car. The OL is the engine. Receivers are the spoiler. If your spoiler falls off, your car does not go hurtling into the ditch. That's my point. OL is much more important than WR. You're missing HIS point....receivers are way more important than a spoiler on a car. They're more like the tires...

no kidding. The Jets are in big danger of becoming the Riders of the NHL and that's not a compliment. Agreed. I was in Brandon for the Wheat Kings playoff game on Saturday and was stunned to hear the True North shout out during the anthem. I get it during Jets games (although the circle jerk the fans give themselves afterwards is a different matter) but it's weird to hear it at other events completely unrelated to TNSE. And if *that* doesn't scream Rider Fans, nothing does...

I'd be a lot more sold on Demski at #2 if I hadn't lived through years and years of some of the worst OL in CFL history....

and further to this current train of thought, as much as I love what Chipman and True North have done for the city, the level of adoration is starting to go a little far. I mean, people are REALLY putting TNSE on a pedastal and I'd suggest it needs to be dialed back a bit.

Either of those trades would be awful for the Jets. Doan's Best Before Date was close to a decade ago, and Lupul has been one of the cancers in the TO locker room....

I like hockey, don't get me wrong, but it's 3rd (at best) on my priority list. CFL and the curling tour are far more important to me...

Lord knows I'm not saying you're wrong, and I'm not saying Bellefuille is a good OC. All I'm saying is you're spinning evidence that's circumstantial at best in order to fit your argument. This is not new, but we're both clearly quite bored, so...here we are...all's I know is Bellefuille looked pretty damn competent when he had healthy players last summer. I suspect we'll see similar this summer...and hopefully into the fall...
