  1. Would rather it be Glenn and Willy, but Willy and Hall would be alright in my books.
  2. Lol @ the direction of this thread...so much fun. Ending up in a SP jpg is icing...
  3. *Braces for Iso's Back-In-My-Day-Everything-Was-Better 3-Paragraph Story*
  4. It's more likely to be the worst contract since Casey Printers signed with the Ticats. Except Burris has thrown for 5000 yards wherever he has played and scored plenty of touchdowns. And also throws plenty of picks, got benched more than anyone should with the money he makes, and more often than not doesn't get the job done when it gets cold outside. ...and, he wasn't 39 when he was doing all those good things...
  5. ha ha...that was actually pretty good. Tough to lose the guy, but hopefully it works out in the end. Not much you can do when a guy has an opportunity like this. Gotta let him take his shot! Congrats Henoc!!
  6. Nichols for a high pick...lol. What's funny is that Hervey thought someone would go for that.
  7. It's not entirely about money. Turning the team over to 39 year old Burris means you are committed to mediocrity for a long time because you aren't putting your energy into developing a QB. So we win 5-6 games for a couple seasons with Burris, and back at square one. Go with a guy like Willy, and we'll at least have a chance to progress into 2015-2016. I think he's eluding to that as much or more than the money when he talks about mortgaging the future. And it wasn't a 3 year vs 2 year issue...Ottawa is paying Burris nearly half a million dollars. *alluding -- and yes, agreed on pretty much all of this...
  8. ...and if you have a plan for guys like this, THIS is why you don't drop a metric **** ton of cash on a 39 year old QB...
  9. If Walters had spent the money necessary to get Burris here, I'd have lost my ****. People on here were freaking out about Walters being taken advantage of by veteran GMs out there, well here's proof that he's not gonna get pushed around. That's a flat-out ******** amount of money to put on a 39 year old QB who Austin just dumped for a nobody. Very VERY glad we said no to that, and I have no doubts there's contingency plans out the wazoo...
  10. We offered 750, Ott apparently went to 800+. Im very happy for them...
  11. Ftr, twitter says Ottawa giving Hank 400k per. #yikes
  12. Being a negative whiny ***** serves absolutely zero purpose...
  13. It's February. People need to stop getting their panties in a knot, sit their ass down and just watch it all play out. We have no slightest idea what the final product will be. People need to relax. Maybe you and Noeller don't. But I know we're going to suck major ass again this year. Bookmarked...
  14. It's February. People need to stop getting their panties in a knot, sit their ass down and just watch it all play out. We have no slightest idea what the final product will be. People need to relax. So much this...
  15. Oi the negativity is disgusting. I still have faith in the brain trust to figure this out...
  16. So much freaking out around here for no reason. This really isn't the big deal that people are making it out to be. I'm still confident we'll be in good shape come July...
  17. Honestly feeling like we dodged a bullet here. Hopefully Bellefuille and KG5 can get past their butt-hurt, and we can somehow snag Glenn and Willy, who, with Hall, would make up a pretty good stable of QBs. If not, I'm confident they'll find some kind of solution. Not really concerned about Burris going to Ottawa.
  18. Should we "lose out" on Burris, it's really not the great loss some might make it out to be. Hell, some would say we dodged a bullet. Ending up with Glenn and Willy would be a-ok with this guy...
  19. Unable to do so as he is still property of the Riders. Do we know if the Riders made an offer? Last thing mentioned is that they're going to let him go to FA because they like their 3rd string more than him...
  20. I think it's more because he knows this is probably his last stop and he's trying to suck out as much money as he can before he retires. And that's totally fair on his part. I never fault any pro athlete for taking as much money as they can get, while they can get it. Careers are short, you gotta max it out. He owes it to his family, at the very least, to get what he can.
  21. If he does end up in Ottawa, I'm more than okay with Glenn and Willy, which should - in theory - cost less, too...
  22. With the cap going up and the new TV deal and all that, 350 isn't really that bad, actuallly....it's not 2005 anymore.
  23. Looking forward to all this Will-He-Or-Won't-He being done. One way or another, we need to do something and move on to other matters. As Lawless says, there's a lot more to fix...
  24. The truth is, nobody except management actually knows what the Plan A truly would have been if all players 3 players had hit free agency at the same time. We only assume Collaros was Plan A because he was the first one available. he was offered legit starter money. he was plan A. thats not what Penton said. Call it spin, but WBB apparently didnt offer huge money to ZC because HB became their so called Plan A.
