  1. I refuse to peg Burke alone....we need to dump everything and start fresh. I'm not blaming Burke, singularly...lots of things wrong, lots of people to take blame.
  2. Starting Monday, things will hopefully start "trending upward"...
  3. Esks beating the piss outta Sask, and hopefully injuring a bunch of players...just about the only thing that could save this day.
  4. I'm the most positive person on the planet, but I'm desperately searching for any kind of silver lining...
  5. Hopefully we'll bring back Swaggerville next year....
  6. Not sure what's worse...the Bombers, the Jets, or the fact that I'm not fully drunk yet.....
  7. I'll take that coaching job, Rebus, if only for the Bomber store discount...
  8. 17to85 and I hanging out in Olds, just waiting for the chance to pop open a 40 of rye and get things going. Curling on TV, pre-game show on the laptop, then the Bomber game, and Jonny Manitoba brings his Hawks home to the MTSC. Gonna be a great day, but here's hoping for some Winnipeg WINS...
  9. The man LOVES the Bombers. He's doing this because it's killing him to watch them suffer like this, and watch the legacy of the franchise be tarnished this way. He's already said that due to his partners in the other jobs, he'll have the time to give the Bombers Presidency his full attention.
  10. Yep, they've always maintained it'd be a group process, which is likely the proper way to do it. As long as the right decisions are being made, it's all good!!
  11. A whole lotta this. It didn't work out for him as HC, and there's no question it's time to move in another direction, but really...he's not a bad guy. Hell, we all LOVED the guy for a long time. Some people act like he killed your family...
  12. I bet Worman is in addition to Moll. We've been talking about adding more scouts, so it's probably guys covering different areas. I really get the impression this team is gonna spend more money in different departments. Bringing Fish on board and adding a scout....good stuff!! Go Blue!!
  13. The interesting thing about Ray is that we were actually scouting him when we discovered Charlie Roberts on the same tape, and got distracted with that, and forgot about Frito all together. Not sure if it was Worman of Wah Wickman that found them in the first place...
  14. Fisher coming back would be MASSIVE for the organization. Doug Brown has sworn up and down that the day Fish left to do his own thing, is the day the organization started the downhill slide post-Ritchie....
  15. I'm going out on a limb and saying Boltus...
  16. There's absolutely no way Wild is on the list, and I'm highly doubting Etienne, too...
  17. Very cool! Make some good moves this off season and this'll really be exciting when it goes down...
  18. That's what your AGM is for. Walters would still be there...and that's something where he'd shine. Helping Higgins work the books. Higgins strength lies elsewhere...brings a lot more to the table.
  19. Darrin Bauming ‏@DarrinBauming40s #Bombers name Jeff Martin to their Board, replacing the retiring Chrys Pappas who has held a seat since 2002.
  20. Yep...I agree. It's just that injury that will decide things...
  21. Sigh....it's always the most negative option, right?
  22. So does Cornish get it over Frito because Frito was hurt for awhile? 'Cause, to me, the numbers RR had this year were just ridiculous, albeit interrupted for a bit. I've got no problems with Cornish winning it...that's a fair case....but man, Frito was something else this year, when he played.
  23. http://www.bluebombers.com/article/bombers-announce-team-award-winners MOP -- Henoc MOC -- Henoc MOD -- Henoc MO OL -- Manuary MO ST -- Will Ford MOR -- Ian Wild
  24. I'm not 100% comfortable with him in the lead chair right now, when we could have a vet with experience, like Higgins, help guide the way. I do think he WILL be the guy at some point. I'm a big fan of Walters work ethic and his commitment to turning around this franchise. If he and Higgins (..or another respected veteran...) were able to work together toward a common goal, I really think that would be our best case scenario.
