It was Mike on the other site. When BT92 first came to the WBB, Mike had been reading all about him and hyped him up pretty good, to the point where he started turning them into Chuck Norris -type things, because even he knew that his comments were so over-blown. As with most things of this nature, once he started it, (and the fact that BT was backing it up...) people just ran with it.....
I don't know how much the rain played into it, but both these teams look like ****, and neither one of 'em has anything to feel good about in the end...
That's the defense that gave up 38pts, right? That one that got 33pts on the board deserved to win the game? ......C'mon.... I'm not saying the D didn't play well...the numbers certainly don't tell the whole story, but don't tell me that it was some dominating performance that got robbed by the offense. I don't care who's responsible for the points, but if you have 33, you should win every time...
At this exact moment, Buck is the best we have. He proved it last night with some really tough throws. Couple of side-arm bullets over the middle, the one to Denmark on the goal line, and the from-the-bootstraps bomb to Kohlert were all pretty tough throws. He fought off the blitz pretty good, for the most part.
I'm willing to wait till Labour Day and see where the offense is at. I personally expect Buck/Crowton to have this thing getting better each week...incrementally...
offense always behind the defense in terms of the learning curve....that's just how it works. They're a work in progress, and as long as they continue to get better as the year goes on, I'll be happy.
I don't agree with SPuDS much, but tonight I'm on board. ...Have patience. The offense as a whole, is just coming together. Reduce the turnovers (most of which had nothing to do with Buck...) and this game looks even better...
Seeing a guy with a ton of tackles always makes me wonder if the other team was picking on him, putting him in chase position and forcing him to make tackles...
Bombers @ Alouettes -- 7pm EST -- Percival Molson Stadium, Montreal PQ
Virtually everyone in Canada is taking the Als to win this game. Bombers ranked just barely ahead of Edmonton in all power rankings.
Sounds to me like there's a lot to prove...
Really think people underestimate our OL. It's actually pretty good and, for the most part, they gave Buck quite a bit of time in the first game....never mind that this same crew was one of the best (...if not THE best...) down the stretch (final 7 games...) last year...
Had Star Choice (which is now called Shaw Direct) for a long time and loved it. Decided to switch to Telus a couple years ago, in order to bundle my internet and HD TV together (...and they had some other incentives...) and it's been nothing but fantastic. I'm just speaking in terms of Satellite vs Cable, because I'm in AB, and can't really speculate as to service in rural MB, but I've never had any real problems with any of my dishes...
One of the first times I'm glad we're land-locked in Olds. Sundre got hit pretty good, but not nearly as bad as High River....man, I feel bad for those poor bastards down there.
Who said anything about glowingly positive?? Why is it always black and white with you people??? You know, there's a really nice middle ground where it's nice and neutral. Irving and Tait are masters of it...
