Not sure why this is so hard for people to understand, it's a pretty simple concept. Signed an extension in the offseason too. Very good move to acquire a STARTING Canadian lineman.

And he will. Not sure why this is even a question of whether or not it happens. It won't happen during the season as that doesn't solve, help or change anything, but people can be sure he will be gone at the end of the season. -
The Kelly offense was able to now and again have good performances. The home opener, Fred Reid's game against B.C. comes to mind (Bernard also went over 100 that game) and the Thanksgiving game in Hamilton immediately come to mind. This is way worse, not even close.

Was helping doing some coaching down south...poor kids.

Bullshit. Don't tell me we can't afford him. We've got just as much money as anyone, even if a lot of it's "hush hush" under-the-table stuff. If we've gotta overpay to get the right guy, then they'll do it. I'm certain Miller knows the story, and the mucky-mucks have learned their lesson. They'll target the right guy and make sure he's taken care of. Write Dickenson a blank cheque, I don't care what it costs.

Really? Coaching doesn't matter? Reilly had two years in BC. Collaros has Milanovich, Maas, Brady and Ray who all played in the CFL at QB. You think that doesn't make a difference in terms of developing a QB? 2 of our offensive coaches are in their first CFL job as a coach or player, the other 2 are Howell and Bellefeuille, essentially a rookie and a coach with a so-so record as both an OC and head coach, and no track record of developing quarterbacks, other than failed ones. Mostly leaned on scrapped vets like Marcus Crandell and Kevin Glenn. Well said, which in part is why us going after Collaros worries me a little bit as he has a great staff around him, and we don't know who our next coach will be. Of course, if we're lucky and it happens to be Dickenson, then I don't think there is anything to worry about.

You do realize any new QB needs AT LEAST 2-3 weeks MINIMUM to learn the system to even step on the field right? QB's on teams have seen and can study playbooks prior to training camp, anybody new will not have that luxury, and you want to throw said person into the line up as a starter... Unreal. Again, this fan base... You do realize any new QB needs AT LEAST 2-3 weeks MINIMUM to learn the system to even step on the field right? Again, this fan base... Is frustrated, fed up & tired of the excuses. We demand more. We should get more. As usual we get nothing. I get the frustration, I am too. But this isn't Madden. You don't sign a quarterback with no familiarity with your systems at this stage of the season and expect him to finish the year as your passer. It just doesn't work that way.

The idiocy of this fan base is astounding.

I missed the game tonight (fortunately, instead of unfortunately?) because of travelling with my hockey team, but I was hoping someone could fill me in on what happened with Brandon Stewart that has so many people upset? I saw some comments on Twitter suggesting he pulled a Cam Hall and took a shot at the fans. Can anyone shed some light?

The Ravens appear twice in this weeks games. Redskins are on the road in Oakland, not Baltimore. Just a heads up.

I'm sure lots of players are common on individual wish lists, but the bottom line is whether or not you get them, and what your results are. Both for Mack speak volumes for themselves.

Really? Over Colleros? What exactly has Drew Willy shown you in the 3 or 4 games he's played in over the last 2 years that you'd have that much confidence in signing him? I'm not saying he wouldn't be good. I'm sure he's some talent. But we've barely seen the guy play. Much more composed under pressure for one. Collaros is solid when he has time. When he doesn't, not so much. He gets REALLY bad happy feet, and his mechanics, and accuracy suffer because of it. Our offensive line issues aren't going to be fixed overnight either, so I'm with Noeller, I feel Willy would be the better fit. Collaros' issues are fixable of course, with him being a young passer, but I feel that Willy is more polished at this point. Of course, either would be big improvement over what we have now though.

League VP Kevin McDonald has said a number of times that the league will be implementing a trade freeze from approximately a week before the draft until the draft day itself. The formal dates are yet to be established.

Collaros, or any other QB isn't coming here mid season for the exact reason that you see right now. If Ray, or Durant, or whoever gets hurt down the stretch, that team is screwed. They have an insurance policy for this season, no reason to let that go.

Great finish. Slow start for DeMarco but he was solid when he needed to be.

Depth Chart - Week #13 - Esks @ Bombers
Mr. Perfect replied to TrueBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I hear what you're saying, don't get me wrong. However Johnson isn't in Younger's league in any way, shape, or form. I'd love for him to prove me wrong and have a great game tomorrow of course, I'm just not holding my breath though. -
Depth Chart - Week #13 - Esks @ Bombers
Mr. Perfect replied to TrueBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
If I recall correctly, we had Johnson at safety for a game last year, and it was nothing short of disaster. -
Burke is cooked and he knows it. I like the guy as a defensive coordinator, and I appreciate his honesty in his answers to questions, but you just simply cannot hire somebody with no experience as a head coach, and expect them to simply "get it" and be able to be the head coach for a group of professionals.

Justin Goltz has been moved down to number three on the depth chart. Burke says Jason Boltus will be the next man up if something happens to Max Hall, which given our patch work o-line, is a very real possibility.

Pascucci Tweet: Bombers To Sign CFL Vet RB This Week
Mr. Perfect replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Depends how you want to interpret this tweet.... CB3 Performance Inc. @KingBoyd03 2m @Wpg_BlueBombers I would love to come join the club if you believe in me. PeaceLife -
Is Collaros really showing THAT much as a passer though? We've seen how teams can take away a guy who is a runner first and foremost with the other issues on the Bombers offense right now. The Argos are not nearly as good a team with Collaros in there for Ray regardless of whether or not the guy has picked up a few wins. (Goltz beat the riders as well FWIW) His best game was certainly his debut, but let's put this into perspective. +60% passing completion rate in every game no more than 1 interception in every game +200 yards passing in every game (+250 in 3 of them) Stats aside, he may have a wonky throwing motion but he's got good pocket awareness, he's got a strong arm and he's mobile. Seems accurate with his touch on the deep ball and with his intermediate game. I'm saying this with the built in understanding that ANY quarterback we bring in is going to need an offensive line to work with, but I think right now Collaros is my pick for next year. My issue with Collaros is that he seems to get happy feet under pressure, and as a result it hampers his throws in such situations. Personally, I'm hoping we swing something for Willy in Saskatchewan.

My thought was Boyd, until I saw Mallett on here. Boyd wouldn't make sense as he can't pass block with a damn, and our line is mediocre at best. Is Simpson's injury worse than feared if we are bringing in a veteran back? -
Have to roll with Hall the rest of the way. I said back in August that all 3 QB's wouldn't be back next year. Buck is already gone, Goltz and Hall surely will be too, but for now, Hall is without a doubt a best option for moving the football.
