  1. 0 first downs, and a QBR of 0 at the half for Goltz. The future indeed!
  2. Also says that he will come back in NFL opportunity doesn't pan out, so I highly doubt the environment or his attitude is any issue considering it's been said he'd be back.
  3. so where do we get the NI spot? On the DL? 3rd Canadian receiver? Swiston/Pencer tandem at tackle? Kohlert returned to practice today, possibly there?
  4. How Joey Elliott would feel if brought back to the team in its current condition...
  5. If you run misdirection/crossing plays on Cauchy he WAS getting himself out of position and not providing over the top/inside support where required... They've fixed that by beating him over the head with playing back so hard that now those crossers aren't ever a risk for the safety to come down and pick off. Also the big thing that killed us was a couple of long bombs where we had guys in position on D and who just didn't make the play (especially just before the half) Cauchy has been out of position on many occasions this season, but in your description, the safety wouldn't be the one to pick off a crossing route like that even if he was in position. Bang on. Safety is not responsible for crossing routes, and considering they were right over the middle, that falls right on Henoc, unless they had him spying Durant, which it didn't seem like they did.
  6. As a Packers fan, always thought that Rouse showed well when he got a chance to start. He's not someone that will jump out and make a lot of plays, but someone who is very steady who won't be leaving his teammates out to dry, or make up for his mistakes.
  7. Rottier hey? Sure, lets just trade crap, for more crap. Has anyone actually paid attention to the Edmonton line, and Rottier in particular this year? It isn't pretty!
  8. Same could just as easily be said for Greg Marshall.
  9. Drinking already. Given how the teams were talent wise last year, and what happened....Riders by 70.
  10. If you were in Green Bay, coaching one of the best teams in the league, and easily the best QB in the league, I'm not sure I'd be so eager to leave for the joke of the CFL.
  11. Haha, if that's what we're doing, not to take away from Riley's outstanding career here, but I'm wanting Dave the Bear. Still think it's a damn shame how Lyle screwed him over.
  12. For anyone that's familiar with the history of Oregon State, the team was a complete joke before Riley turned them around. It's a tough loss for the program, but the guy is the main reason the team has been turned around. Sure they aren't a Pac 12 power house, but they aren't the laughing stock they once were. The day Riley doesn't coach there is the day Riley decides he no longer wants to coach.
  13. Riley is under contract through 2019, and is coming off of a nine win season. Despite losing to a div 2 team today, he won't be going anywhere anytime soon.
  14. Worth keeping an eye on regardless. Vega had a great game with the Cowboys, including a fumble recovery and a couple tackles for a loss.
  15. Just to add that the cuts we should be watching, nothing on Bilukidi or Vega yet that I've seen.
  16. We're worst than last year, the Riders are better than last, and we lost 52-0 last time out. Riders by 70.
  17. Can we not just agree that as a whole, just about everyone on this offence is either putrid, or pretty damn close to it? You aren't going to have chicken salad when presented with chicken ****.
  18. He'd be a fool to risk injury for half a CFL season. He wouldn't have taken things this far if he didn't have a solid notion that he could find work there. Either he signs in the NFL for this upcoming season, or he doesn't play football at all this year IMO.
  19. The team has never recovered from Lyle messing that up.
  20. It doesn't matter how fast or slow he is if we can't get him the ball. We still need O-line help. Then worry about fast receivers. True, which is why I hope people have realistic expectations for MSW in 2013. Hopefully next season if he sticks around, and the club wants him back, he can showcase his talents in an actual half decent offensive scheme, should we be so lucky.
  21. How was it stupid when the guy has been a healthy scratch for more than half of Calgary's games this year? It would have been done sooner had Mack not said no initially when Burke first brought up the idea of letting him go.
  22. Well I guess 4.35, 40 yard dash time is slow now a days...
  23. Good move, with the potential to be a great move come 2014.
  24. Solid hands, tried to cash in on a decent season in free agency when he signed with the Rams but he got hurt, went back to Jacksonville and got hurt again, and was out of the league pretty quick. Had two, seven touchdown seasons while with the Jags, which is not an easy feat on a team like that.
  25. Love Sims-Walker. IMO, he got a raw deal in Jacksonville but did the best he could with what he had. Not likely to contribute much this year I don't think, but I'd love to see what he can do in 2014, in what will hopefully be a much better regime.
