  1. Mr. P's detailed thoughts in no particular order. - Game. On.
  2. Ford was also playing against a team that was up three or so possessions at the time. You have a lot more freedom to freelance as a QB during garbage time.
  3. Yep he's had tough moments at times this season. The TD to INT ratio is a problem. However, tonight he was not the reason we lost. In fact I'd go so far to say tonight was one of his better games of the year throwing for 300 plus yards while the interior of the line was caved in for the entire second half.
  4. Win the Grey Cup at home? Absolutely worth it IMO. Zach is gone after next year. You're starting over regardless. Go out with a bang or at least fall guns a blazing. But I understand the counter-point.
  5. Hosting the Grey Cup, with the profit you project to make - screw SMS. Throw every dollar you have at the OL.
  6. Thoughts in no particular order: - Turnovers from veterans are baffling. You expect mistakes from rookies - but when your backs are against the wall you expect Demski and Brady to hang onto the ball - This offensive line is comically bad in pass protection. It's one thing to get pressure off the edge, but when it comes up the middle (looking at you Neufeld/Eli), you have no chance in the pass game - Further to that...when games are as close as they are, as they have been aside from week 1...Pound the effing rock! Buck's play calling has been baffling this year especially in close games - Special teams kick coverage was outstanding tonight and I thought we were adequate, though not spectacular in our own return game - Johnson can get his apple and road map tomorrow. It's week 8 and you're getting yelled at with the play clock winding down that you're lined up wrong. Yikes. - Thought we did a better job generating pressure than we have in a long time. - Ad Naseum...Bighill/Alexander...Holy eff. Time to go. - Kramdi had maybe his best game as a pro - Pound the rock. These games are close. All of them except week 1. Brady needs 15-20 carries a game and Streveler should have at least 5-8 not including sneaks. You might as well have just kept Prukop at this point - Further to play calling. Perhaps an alcohol fuelled thought, but towards the end of the third I was thinking I actually miss Lapo as an OC - Hope going forward? Would we have won tonight with Lawler, Lucky and Bailey in the lineup? I like to think so -Which is certainly in the realm of possibility moving forward
  7. Couldn't agree more except for "tossing ducks". Zach wasn't the problem tonight. Aside from the Montreal game, all of these games have been close. Brady should be having 15 carries bare minimum, likely closer to 20 along with a handful of checkdowns/screens. This play calling, and utilization of certain talents is baffling.
  8. The football IQ of this board goes right down the shitter the moment this team starts losing. Comical.
  9. Narrator: He indeed, did get fired.
  10. Age, skill set, familiarity of the system....never should have let him out the door - and I'll always be a "Zach guy" to the very end.
  11. Wow 🤣🤣 if there was ever a million dollar arm, 10 cent brain analogy/comparison when it came to kicking, it would be Boris Bede. Wonder if Chris Jones finally just got fired?
  12. That Edmonton right guard, Steward, might be one of the top 5 worst lineman I've ever seen in the CFL.
  13. Vintage Bob Dyce. I mean it is Edmonton so may not be a terrible move but overall he's way too conservative of a coach.
  14. Poor Dru being forced to make chicken salad out of chicken crap. When he gets time in the pocket and is able to set and deliver...wow! 🔥
  15. I love when people prove they have zero understanding of the game they're watching.
  16. Give me vision over a guy that can run 4.3 and can't read a block.
  17. Yep Brown would be in the same situation - however has the mobility to get out of those situations or could be more effective if the team were to utilize a moving pocket to reduce the effectiveness of a pass rush. I won't chirp Zach (even if the line wasn't an issue) - Two Grey Cups after the drought we had, but given his age and Brown's age, plus the promise Brown showed at various points, Brown should have been kept, even if it meant letting Zach go in the off-season.
  18. Bush league. Bush league rule. Bush league social media.
  19. All the leash in the world. Who are you going to replace him with? You expect Streveler to be more effective as a passer the way the interior line is getting caved in? Good luck. Worst thing this team did was letting Dru Brown out the door.
  20. Yep. Last night sucked. Worried? Not particularly. As last night was drawing to a close I kept thinking of last season's home game in July against BC. Took it on the chin pretty good that night, didn't we? We have a veteran team, the best coaching staff in the league. They turned it around after that game, and they'll turn it around after this one. Looking forward to next week against Ottawa. Get the boys on the road, away from the noise and get the freight train back on track.
  21. Wow. Offside and still make the wrong read on the option. Impressive...
  22. Welp....here's your apple and road map for ya, Barriere.
