  1. Even if the "wrong" guy sits, there's still going to be a quality player in that spot. Benefit of great depth.
  2. Very Aaron Rodgers like in that regard.
  3. 1. Nichols - Unquestionably his best game as a Bomber. Smart with the football. Able to get it I to some really tight spots. Reminded me of the games Dickenson would have years back with how methodical he was. 2. Harris. Also his best game as a Bomber. I'd love to see his yards after first contact. Sadly the CFL doesn't track that stat. 3. Chris Randle. Massive takeaway just before the half allowing us to get a late major.
  4. Dave Ritchie approves this message.
  5. If anyone is curious what awful offensive line play looks like (hello people who pretend it has no impact on the QB) I'd strongly recommend you look at Marshall Ferguson's Twitter account to see what Zach Collaros is dealing with. Beyond horrendous. The guy is a great follow for CFL X's and O's. CJ Gable may be the worst running back in pass protection that I've ever seen and that includes Bloi-Dei Dorzon.
  6. Jon Jennings. A slightly better Michael Bishop.
  7. Moving him to corner instead of half has made a world of difference. Happy for him.
  8. It's amazing how much the game was changed. The physicality of the DB's, quarterbacks often under centre, lots of play action. Quite something to watch. Also, so many great names from the past. Alfred Jackson, Chris Walby, Miles Gorrell, and of course Matt Dunigan. Captain Obvious statement but Damn could he ever sling that ball.
  9. Yeah it sucks obviously but that's the nature of the draft. They're all crapshoots in every league, but the CFL even more so. That said, looking at our record last year and our record this year, I'm pretty sure we're going to be okay with or without Addison Richards ☺.
  10. But we missed out not signing him. Didn't you get the memo? Aside from that...Three stars, of the under the radar type 1. Despite limited touches understandably, Tim Flanders showed why we have to do everything we can to get him in the lineup. Such a nice complement to Harris, and having him in there also creates different sets if him and Harris are on the field at the same time. 2. Roc Carmichael. Good for him tonight. Solid game after struggling massively all season tonight. Lets hope this is a case of a rookie slowly catching on and learning the ropes. We'll see.... 3. Ryan Lankford and TJ Thorpe. Can't decide between the two. Both can obviously make plays, and I love how Thorpe continuously gets yards after the catch. It's definitely needed given we've struggled to find new receivers. HH - As Jpan mentioned, the cover teams. Absolutely outstanding.
  11. That's not the point he was trying to make. What defense wouldn't be good with those guys? Chances are maybe, just maybe with a coach playing middle linebacker for as long as O'Shea did, he might know the responsibilities, and be able to evaluate our linebackers a bit better than most.
  12. Best part of the proposal. I love the NCAA in large part because of this.
  13. This is just SO typical of the CFL. Make an amendment that doesn't address the actual root of the problem. How does this help? One challenge a game for a league where refs botch many calls a game. This creates more errors, nevermind the fact it's usually 50/50 that the command centre comes to the right decision. A terrible product was just made worse. Comical but not surprising given the league.
  14. I turned CJOB off right after that. I miss when they use to do upwards of an hour and a half of post game interviews. Now it's three super quick interviews, and taking calls from our largely idiot fan base.
  15. Quoted for truth.
  16. 14 for, 32 against in the first quarter.
  17. Outscored 42-9 in fourth quarters so far this season. Opposing players saying on national TV you let your foot off the gas. As I said last week, this team is never going anywhere as long as Lapo and Hall are collecting cheques from this organization. They've both been fired MANY times for a reason.
  18. Travis Lulay throwing off his back foot so much, Jay Cutler would be proud.
  19. Something to keep tabs on tonight, and into next week if he doesn't return...
  20. Yes it's only four weeks but Calgary does not scare me at all right now. The only reason we lost to them was because we handed the game away. They're not nearly as intimidating as they once were.
  21. Oh I hear ya, don't get me wrong. The concept of a draw isn't lost on me. If you want to run the occasional draw on 2nd and 10, by all means go for it. It's about the situation that I find baffling, same as the decision to throw last night to throw on 2nd and 4 or 5 with just over a minute left
  22. Not sure what was a worse call. That or last week's draw play on 2nd and 10 down 16 with under five minutes left in the game. Lapo gonna Lapo.
  23. I almost felt bad for Ray with all the drops. Almost.
