  1. Does anyone have a more pointless job at IGF than Caroline Hunter? "The Bombers are in the red zone." in the most monotone voice possible.
  2. This team is going nowhere as long as Lapo and Hall are on this coaching staff.
  3. Sounds like you don't understand the game you're watching. There's a reason why anyone who's been involved with the game at any level will tell you the game is won and lost at the line of scrimmage. It's not a cliche. Dennis versus Fulton is irrelevant. If the other four aren't doing their jobs, regardless of the situation, it doesn't matter how good your left tackle is. All it takes is one weak link to make an offensive line look poor.
  4. Collaros looks how any quarterback would look behind a terrible offensive line.
  5. Has anyone been paying attention to Xavier Fulton tonight? Hamilton left tackle. Absolutely brutal in this game.
  6. Dude what are you talking about? I thought calling a draw play down 16 points on 2nd and 10 with four and a half minutes left in the game was a great call....?
  7. What a dumpster fire. And I'm going to pull up a lawn chair, a bowl of popcorn and watch it burn.
  8. To be fair it was also quite clear when Walby called Bomber games on CBC back in the day that he had a bit of a bias. It's bound to happen when if you try not to show it.
  9. Given there are starting NFL quarterbacks who miss wide open receivers (It's sports. Mistakes happen shockingly enough), it just goes to show how absolutely clueless this comment is. Players in the CFL are here for a reason. That's not a shot against the league or players, but it's just a fact. You're going to see a lot of mistakes not just by quarterbacks, but at other positions as well because of the quality of players. Idiocy.
  10. To me, Cuthbert and Suitor simultaneously react. Cuthbert says oh no. Suitor says oh baby. At least that's how I hear it. I think people are grasping for straws when they say Suitor hates the Bombers.
  11. I'm too young to remember Zaleski, but Burke definitely is tops on this list in my opinion. We were better off not even showing up some nights. Berry has no business on this list for the reasons already mentioned. To be honest, as much of a lunatic that he was I don't think Kelly should be on this list either. Had we won the last game of the season against Hamilton we would have made the playoffs.
  12. Well considering it was an entirely different scheme that literally had no playbook, it actually does. ☺
  13. Prior to him coming here I was never a huge Nichols fan and overall I'd say I'm still on the fence about him. However that said, while Lapo's offence can be frustrating at times when he goes conservative, Nichols does a great job of executing it overall. Some quarterbacks fit well in certain schemes. I'd encourage anyone to look at Nichols career stats before coming to Winnipeg. They're very average at best. That said, if I recall correctly his touchdowns to interceptions last season were 19-11. Add to the fact he went 4-1 in those stats last night and you can clearly see there is something in this offence that allows him to be successful.
  14. Whipping boy for some. What people tend to forget is the last time he was in a starting role, our defensive coordinator was Gary Etcheverry. With his...."scheme" or whatever you want to call that joke of a defence we ran that season, it didn't really paint an accurate picture of what Hurl is capable of.
  15. We did just fine generating pressure. Making the tackle when we get there, not so much.
  16. Lankford did just fine, though I would like to see what Thorpe is capable of in the role. On kickoffs Lankford had an average of 29.3 yards a return. That's damn good considering a good return on kicks is 20 yards. On punts his average wasn't great, only 5 per return (10 yards is considered a good return on punts), but the Riders also did a decent job on their punt covers. By comparison, before he got hurt Fogg only had an average of 7.2 yards a return, and we all know what he's capable of there.
  17. My thoughts exactly. That was ugly, ugly, ugly. If it wasn't for the Riders breakdowns in the secondary in the middle stages of the game and the turnovers, it wouldn't have been a pretty outcome tonight. Winning ugly is still a win of course but it's hard to feel positive with a showing like that against a joke of a team like the Riders. That said, on the plus side Sam Hurl really stood out with a nice game. He's been a whipping boy for some around here, undeservedly so.
  18. Not a Jennings fan by any means, but this is bound to happen when you have the lack of time he's being forced to work with right now.
  19. That's a pretty ridiculous standard. A joke.
  20. When he's hot, he's a gamer for sure, but when you rattle his cage it seems to affect him beyond the actual game and into future contests. Consistency can develop over time though.
  21. With our offensive line, Nichols will be able to have a picnic if they rush three all game.
  22. John White's price tag immediately caught my eye. Nevermind being more expensive than Harris or Messam, but significantly more expensive too!
